Id like to quickly point out that the CSR i talked to (the one who gave me the "doorways" system info) said that they dont even have the price given to them until the day the phone is released. Not saying I doubt what anyone else says, but at this point, i think any CSR that will confirm or deny a certain date should have their information taken with a few grains of salt

My thoughts as well. Im pretty skeptical, or at least I was hesitant to accept all of the past rumored dates as fact. With this one there is a different feel though. Even as many of us were beginning to feel the validity of the 9th there were other sources in the background on other sites and even a few here who were throwing out dates like the 12th, 15th etc. Now, here we are a few days from the 15th, and I have not seen a rumored date discussed on any credible media outlet, suggesting it will drop later than the 15th. Just talked to 4 CSRs the first few had no idea or said I wasn't eligible. The last one Tyler was awesome I didn't even tell him the promo code now I have 100 reasons to get it from a corporate store. Plus my living social deal to get my desk dock.

That package is either for the Droid X or Nexus, Costco accessory packs normally come with a soft case, headphones, car charger. It looks like this pack comes with nicer headphones then the normal pack. For spending $10 less then if you went to a VZ corp store the accessory pack is not the main insensitive and just icing.
I have my final in upper level Mathematics this Friday, Economics on Monday of Next week, and Astrophysics on Tuesday. Although I am studying like a maniac, the non-release of this phone is distracting me
you and me both. I have an immunology final on wednesday and a microbial genetics final on friday. If the phone does release thursday, for the sake of my well being and exam grades, i dont know if getting it will be the best idea.

So the source says it's the 15th and others think pre-orders begin tonight and the $100 promotion works for some but not others. Did I miss anything else today?
I have tried 3 different CSR's on the phone. I live in the Midwest, and NO ONE can find it for me. They all say it's for Chicago and surrounding area.

Back from Alice Cooper. Good show. Wasn't a huge Alice Cooper fan prior to the concert, still not really a huge fan but he did put on a good show. He's really a creepy kinda guy.
Not trying to be debbie downer but is there any chance Steven or another MOD can help clean up the Verizon $100 discount talk. Maybe add the information to the original post so it is readily viewable.
Sorry but its getting really bad with every poster telling their story over and it is hard enough to catch up on this thread without having to sift through all that coupon talk.

I'm in Arizona and they added it to my account earlier today.
Trick is, don't mention anything about the Nexus. Just say you're up for an upgrade and before you buy a phone you want to see if you can get that coupon for $100 off a new 4g phone when switching from 3g.

My guy seemed pretty suggestive of it being a Chicago area thing. He asked "By suburb of Chicago, what do you mean?" I told him "I'm within the 4G coverage." That seemed to be enough. I think the farthest South it goes is like Kankakee - I'm not sure about West and North.

Im in Southern Cali and tried. They said it is for midwest only and there was no way he could add it. He said if I was in the midwest he could do it though.
So if your in the Midwest I would definitely call up and add as you are eligible. Might have to have to throw out the "doorway" wording though as the 2nd call I made he had not heard of any promotions like that until I mentioned that. Then he said midwest only.

No reason to not get righteous discounts when available to you, ok to work with your carrier to get what's coming to you, they have a lot of discretionary ability on this sort of thing - not ok to be dishonest about it and potentially lose people their jobs.
Looks like we really are in the home stretch.

OK - No big update but...
I sent my rep a text (he had one waiting for me on the 9th, but texted me that morning saying he couldn't sell it yet). He confirmed the date of the 9th on the 7th as well for me.

I understand. If you've been following the thread at all, really...you'll notice trends. So long as we're not flaming one another, it's all allowable, so long as the mods are ok with it! Besides, today we got a couple big leads saying that this week is THE week. So it hasn't ALL been coupons!

I used the line of what somebody posted earlier

and the guy checked it out. I don't think he even typed in the code but did a search on the for the 3g to 4g promo and my account came up as eligible! He put a note on my account. Here's to hoping it gets applied when i get the GNEX!
we had a long conversation before on why the costco rep said my NE2 discount couldn't be applied at the costco kiosk, and him trying to find out of my NE2 discount could be applied to radio shack or best buy (he didn't have an answer for those) but noted to me that his note sheet specifically said costco couldn't redeem the new every 2 discount.
anywho...long story short...IT WORKED FOR ME...it was noted on my account that I was eligible for the $100 discount. I'm SO hoping it goes through!!!!
