I believe Verizon will have one available tomorrow in stores, you should be able to check it out prior to buying it that way.
they usually just have universal holsters, they do have one that fits but it fits too weirdly since the phone is thin and has that curve. I bought it but then returned it
Ok, so let me get this straight. We are ~24 hours from one of the largest Android launches in US history (A Nexus on Verizon with ICS, a major OS overhaul) and yet we've received no official word from Verizon, no advertising, nothing on their website, no PRs, conflicting stories from resellers and CSRs, etc. etc. Color me skeptical. I hope I'm wrong, but I suspect there are going to be MANY disappointed folks in here tomorrow.

The big question is whether we'll see anyone born on launch day being named Nexus or Galaxy. I sure hope no one thinks Verizon would be a cute name. The kid would be quiet and despised for life!
Haha, please no one name their child after a phone.

You sure about that, the incredible and thunderbolt both have custom holsters.

I feel the same way, I really hope I am wrong but it is really hard to believe that NOTHING has been said....

Verizon. Say it with me. Verizon. That is all.

Thanks for the link! I just ordered "Matte Back Black TPU Case & Screen Protector for Galaxy Nexus". I would have never thought about ordering it before hand, but that's obviously the better way to do it!
Yeah, I have had really good customer service from them... I have a TPU case for my Bionic w/ extended battery and, as far as I'm concerned, the case is perfect!
I use my OG Droid as my alarm clock, using it on it's dock. It decided to freeze at 2:53AM, so it never reached 5:45 when my alarm would wake me up. My carpool in the morning showed up at my house at 7 AM thinking I had died since I wasn't picking up my phone either (still frozen!). They proceeded to ring the doorbell a billion times, with me looking at my clock to see it's 2:53AM and I thought that my house was on fire or something (why else would someone be ringing my doorbell at 3AM on a Wed morning?!)
Moral of the story - I need this Galaxy Nexus NOW! Must destroy OG Droid immediately!
OMG this cracked me up!!! What a way for you to start your day...I have a feeling there will be a better ending to it for you and for all of us GNexers!!
Will stuff like the dock and the tpu case still work with the extended battery? I know it barely adds any bulk to it.. but just a little can make a big difference.
Stupid Hartford only has a Wireless Zone - Verizon Reseller downtown. Chances are they will have it in, but I won't be able to use my new every two discount which would suck. Stupid boring Hartford!

Checking in on the Nexy-Eve from the west coast....gonna keep watch on the PR and the site....really need this phone soon, as my OG knows its being replaced, and totally dying.
Is there anyone else in the Santa Barbara, CA area? Just want to make sure I will be the first in line....
(another VZW store story...) 1 of the local corp stores has called 3 times in the last 2 days to let me know a phone is waiting for me on Thurs....
I believe this was mentioned before, but the press release for the Bionic was September 7 and released on the 8th. I couldn't tell from the PR what time it was released though.

Good Morning all! I have been getting ready to retire my DroidX for the nexus and was considering how to transfer everything stored on the sd card to the Nexus. I am thinking about using Dropbox or maybe WiFi Explorer. Any one else have any thoughts?

I don't know about the dock, but I'll be able to tell you about the extended battery just as soon as I get my Nexus!! In any case, I've already spoken with the owner of TPU Cases, and he will be producing an extended battery case if the current case doesn't work with the extended battery. My take on it is - how can you go wrong for the price? (mine cost me $9.90 with free shipping - they may have gone up in price though)

Embarrassed to ask, but it has been so long...
Where do you go to change your AVATAR? Either my coffee hasn't kicked in or I'm half-******ed (probably the latter) but I can't find it in my profile settings. Thanks!

Glad to see you are your usual "optimistic" self. LOL We wouldn't want you any other way. You bring balance.

Having had a 16GB SD card go bad on me in the phone, I have religiously maintained a backup of my 32GB SD card on my laptop. That way I HOPE it won't be a problem to simply select the files I want and move them to Nexus.

I really hate to admit it to myself, but I'll be shocked if it is actually released tomorrow.

Try "Edit Profile Picture"
EDIT: Sorry not enough caffeine here either... try "Edit Avatar" under "Settings and Options"

I have a plan, tell me what you all think,.
I have a upgrade date of 12/29 and if I pay full retail for the phone tomorrow then if I want to I. Can return it on the 29th and get my upgrade discount.
Can you all do the math for me and see if I'm right?

How ironic! Mine did the same thing this morning.

just have them do a manager override. You're close enough.

Why not just connect both devices to your computer and drag the files from one to the other?

I think we should start watching for announcements in 9 months for little ones.
