Nexus One rooted with CM7. Still haven't seen anything worth switching for, but looking forward to the new Nexus. My brother has a phone called a Razzle - seriously, where do they come up with these names?!

It will remain as an immediate backup while waiting for a replacement if the need arises.
To be able go online and deactivate the problem child and re-activate the OG while I deal with the situation is worth more to me than loyalty perks and it being gone forever.

No way will I ever turn my baby back in. She's getting retired into her original packaging and put away for a long, long time... unless, like you indicated, the need arises for her services yet again

I believe navigation is built into the maps.apk. I just looked through my system and data app folders on my Eris and there was no separate navigation app that I noticed.

I'm overly excited about the possibility of this phone....the most I've been since I purchased and was apart of the legendary Incredible thread....
Since then I've had the DX and now I'm using the underwhelming Revolution.....sheesh.....this phone....
Prime here I come....when any amount of concrete evidence shows itself, i.e blurry pics, leaked user manual etc....this thread will soar into unseen territory....

I'm debating on what to do with the OG when the new phone comes along. Got a window mount that goes with it so maybe I'll sell her on Ebay (still in great shape) or like Chief, put it away. Dunno what to do with it.

You may want to add a link to the Nexus system dump file list that was released today. Also, P3Droid has now recanted his statement about no pure vanilla according to his recent attempt at poetry.

Looks right to me. The release date may need to be changed to 11/11/11.
WOW! 11/11/11 seem to be a date that can be used for a big add campaign.
Out of curiosity, where did you get that info. I must've missed it. tia.

Thank you! Updated. I also took out P3's "no vanilla" statement, which was added 9/15.

Thought I should quit lurking and actually say hi. I was going to give you all some dirt from an inside source I have at a microprocessor plant in Taiwan. But I forgot I don't have any inside sources.
I will literally be able to contribute nothing beyond rumor, conjecture and innuendo. But I have become complete addicted to this forum and phone so I wanted to say thanks to everyone who keeps it going and filled with good info.

First post here. There's a lot of talk in this thread about the phone for verizon, but what about us att guys?
Couple questions if anyone here cares to speculate.
Will the prime come to att and when?
Will the att version have lte?
I was all ready to get the s2, but with the att lte network starting to go live I really want to wait for a lte phone. I am praying that the prime comes out for att with lte radio before the end of the year!

I'm riding the same wave here ! I just don't understand why when apple announces a new phone it gets released within a few weeks ! when others announce a new phone it seems it takes months before we see it !
I don't think I could wait and I'll buy the SGS2 W as I think prices will drop on ebay after AT&T puts it out Oct.2

I can wait until about the second week in December. I am hoping that this phone will be out for att by then.
My real concern is the lte though. I've seen how fast lte technology is on my brothers bionic, and even if lte doesn't come to my market till mid 2012 it will have been worth the wait. I really really need this phone to have an lte radio for att

They must be awfully skinny in the abdomen, because Verizon/Google/Samsung must have scared the CRAP out of them with that non-disclosure agreement. Admittedly: if I got to test the Nexus Prime? I'd have to keep it a tight secret too. No way would I want to (a) give back that beast prematurely; and (b) face fines/jail time just to placate Android junkies everywhere.

I certainly agree with you. But it seems that every other phone out there gets outted eventually with the blurry pics. This one must have some serious NDA attached to it.

difficult to tell from Mr. blurry cam, but i don't see the curved glass. also, what happened to the rumor/leak of a supposed metal chassis? that pic certainly doesn't have one. i don't have any basis for calling "fake," but i'm not overly convinced of the pic.

I'm pretty sure its an old pic. Not even really rumored anymore from what I understand.

Just to let you guys know, I've been texting my sister like crazy the past few days, and she just doesn't know anything.
She is surprised at the lack of info where she works, if this is getting announced in 12 days. With the Iphone 4, she knew Verizon was getting it like 3 months before announcement, and she knew the date of release 2 or 3 weeks prior. On this one, she's hearing nothing.
But she still says that the little she has heard doesn't indicate a DROID branding.
I really hope it doesn't get the branding because that, coupled with the app list leaked with no bloatware on it, points to us getting a pure Nexus device.
I'm so excited! My chronic pessimism on this phone has taken a vacation.
The Following User Says Thank You to For This Useful Post:
my pessimism is waning quickly, as well. i hope i'm not setting myself up for disappointment in vzw yet again. that said, i'm still not yet 'all in' for this device. my interest in the Spyder is still pretty high. while it would seemingly be almost impossible to pass on a VZW pure Nexus device, i think i'm gonna wait for both to release before i make a purchase.
i've said in other forums that i don't have a real objection to Droid branding, as long as it isn't accompanied by bloatware. i think they could attach the Droid name, and still leave it as a vanilla andy device. the Nexus line hasn't been a good seller traditionally, and i think the Droid name would add some instant marketing appeal. again, just as long as they use the name solely for marketing, and leave it a pure Nexus device.

I believe that is just a blurred pic of the SGS2. Bluebiker?

I really think that we have already seen the Galaxy Nexus/Nexus Prime in the form of the Galaxy S2 LTE HD. I think it will be that phone without capacitive buttons and running ICS.
It's most likely due to Samsung and Google making the announcement if it really turns out to be a Nexus unbloated device.

I hope not. I would like to see a design more similar, or spot on, to what's in the op. A bit more rounded. Design is one thing that killed the bionic for me. I was looking forward to something a bit more rounded.
