I think if it is coming out for T-mobile anytime soon, we'll know something or at least get a hint tomorrow since Tmo is at Google's music event tomorrow...I mean I am hoping we all find something out then...If you think about it, the one thing that the GN hasn't had is any kind of US announcement or event...I know it's probably a pipe dream, but one can only hope.....

No problem! I would have been very sceptical too! Let me know if there is anything you want me to video / blog / screen capture etc. I am not one of the most technical of the Mob!lers but there's 6 of us getting the device early and I can ask around to get answers if I dont have them!
I would personally love a web browser comparison between the nexus and gsII if you have one. out of all the gnex videos there are still very few that show off the hardware accelerated browser.

I hope so..I got to get those damn Concords next month, NO MATTER WHAT. Need to have this done a certain way.....

It's called Christmas. Not everything is a conspiracy against the SGN, folks.
lol Wrong conspiracy. I wasn't thinking VZW had anything against the Nexus device, rather, baiting people into buying phones they don't want. If I spent a couple of weeks with a satisfactory device (Rezound, RAZR) and went through the effort to learn the device and get comfortable with it, I might just let it ride rather than return it and get the device I really wanted.
Is extending the return policy a VZW "holiday tradition" so to speak?

I know most of the people in here are on Verizon, but I think it's ok for someone to ask something about another carrier. No need to flame the guy, lol, or do we need to change the name of the thread too "Verizon" launch thread.

I don't think he really meant to come of mean I think he was probably trying to say it kiddingly but it just may not read that way to some. He is unfortunately right though. If another carrier does get it we probably wont know till after the Verizon version is released.

I wasn't flaming the guy, I was speaking the truth. Since Verizon is getting it first and we don't know when that will be than how do you expect anyone to answer the question.

The more I think about it, the more I think the 21st is the date. We've had all the clues, w/o 21st leak, 10 days of google ends on the 21st....It seems to be lining up.
Edit: But so does the 17th , this would be the first time a nexus phone has launched outside of the US first (correct?), Google Music Event on the 16th, Has to be the 17th right?!?
This phone is driving me nuckin futz

Yeah 21st web only methinks. Which is bugging me because I want to get a Rezound if it won't be out until the 21st but buying the phone in a store would make it hard to exchange for a web only phone.
Aggggggggh. I'm just going to play Skyrim. Goodnight everyone.

Just left a VZW store. Manager told me that all of the stores received an email today from corporate saying that the GN would not be launching on the 18th. Interestingly, they never received anything saying that it ever was supposed to be coming on the 18th in the first place. Basically the email was a one liner that didn't give any real reason or new date to expect. For whatever its worth...

Not that I know diddly squat...and I still hope I'm wrong (to the better side of the 21st, that is).

I figured you were kidding, as you noticed I threw a "lol" in there too, I was just making the point that there are 2 or 3 of us non verizon people out there...and unfortunately, I agree with what your saying...that's why I've been rooting for you guys to find something out, because I'm hoping that means we will find something out soon there after. Just sticking up for my fellow Tmo guy out there...like I said, there aren't many of us.

Web-orders open the 17th, phone is in stores by the 21st.
Theory B (more likely in my opinion):
Web-orders open the 21st, phone is in stores the 28th.
If the 18th comes and goes with no word, I'm walking out of Verizon on the 19th with a Rezound, no ifs, ands, or buts. I can't keep waiting and risking this phone that doesn't belong to me.

I have started a new thread with the same name as this reply. Please feel free to ask me any questions or ask for any content on this thread. Hmmm.. a pre-release Galaxy Nexus you say. Just exactly where do you live and what route do you take to work.

Many of you saw my post the other day about how I called a verizon store and asked when the nexus is coming out, and the guy said "either end of this week or early next week." Well, I just called another store just now and they almost said the same thing word for word. They said they expect it next week if not the end of this week.
Man, they gotta know something new by now. Two different stores have said the same thing, when they were clueless in the past.

Just flashed cm7. Forgot how much I despise the stock keyboard. Then was running through the tips cause I just love #'s 9 (iPhone: you're holing it wrong. Always.) & 14 (Catroast : Always catproof your electronics, cats are bound to pee on them)
That is all.

Maybe, just maybe....the rampant speculation is gaining traction at VZW corporate, and maybe that'll make them feel the need to spill the beans?

For those of you really need a phone now and cannot wait, I really would agree with the source and recommend the HTC Rezound. The screen is clearer has more resolution is not as wide and it feels better in the hand. I'm comparing it to the razr by the way. Then when the galaxy nexus comes out you can exercise your option if you feel that the galaxy nexus is an upgrade. You'll just have to pay the $35 restocking fee, of course.
Me? I just got a refurbished droid X in the mail today. It is running so much faster and more smooth than my droid X that am even wondering if I need to upgrade at all.

Hey all,
I'm the guy on reddit who posted my hands-on experience with a Galaxy Nexus (link). Just thought I'd sign up here and join the discussions. I'm really REALLY hoping that the lady I talked to was right about the release, because I am really getting overly hyped-up over this... But all Verizon employees I've talked to say that they only know about the date once the manufacturer gives a date, and given the leaked inventory screen grab from earlier today, do you think it is at all possible that the phones could be in stores as soon as Friday (or Monday)?
The Following 4 Users Say Thank You to scottg96 For This Useful Post:
I feel that there are way to much speculations, rumors, and unknown about the release date. I feel like there are also some dates that have been just thrown out there to stir some muddy waters. We are all going crazy every time a new unconfirmed date pups up. I honestly think that we will see this phone much sooner than 12/17.

Yup, because I don't entirely know how shipments to retail stores/preparations for phone launches work. If Samsung announced that the phones were coming to stores on Friday but employees haven't gotten any sort of indication of such a shipment at the time of the announcement, could they throw a fast one and ship out in one day?
