Hey gang, what a long day followed by a long night and longer day!
In a way, I'm just waking up - one of my pals said I'd be here soon, but I didn't think it would be this soon!
Ok, data template handoff from older model in 4... 3... 2...
LOL Steven59 -- what is going on here?!

FWIW,
Stopped by 3 Verizon stores today. 1 Corporate and 2 3rd Party.
The corporate store guy smiled and asked when I asked about the Nexus and said it should be here soon. Asked how soon and he couldn't tell me. Said no accesories or cases had came in yet.
When I stopped by the 3rd Party retailers, I played dumb and the first store couldnt even pronounce the ReZound right and said it had some type of beat box by Dr. Dre. I almost started laughing. But I asked about the Nexus and without hesitation she said the 28th. I left thinking how would she know when she doesnt know the Rezound.
The 3rd store didn't even have a Rezound and the guy said it wasn't out yet. I asked him about the Nexus and he also said without hesitation said the 28th.
Crazy conincidence?
Either way im getting the ReZound for now. Will return for Nexus

I am so glad i bought a Dinc in August to hold me over until this came out.....so happy as someone mentioned before this phone is perpetually 2 weeks away until the end of time!

This does not make me happy. My cousin recently switched from her Incredible to an iPhone despite my pleadings for her not to. I told her she'd be sorry when she sees what she's missing come Thanksgiving. I'm really going to hate showing up to grandma's house next week without a Galaxy Nexus.
Doh!

It was WAY easier to fly through the information before!

I call BS (not about the source). Software issues can always be found. If something major, it would have been reported by P or Panda. This just takes the blame off of VZW and gives them more time

Just wanted to post this like I did near the end of the day yesterday just as a point of view of how many release days in November are left.
Not being released today and we can assume since no PR came out today that we won't see it tomorrow or Friday. That leaves next week (excluding Thursday for Thanksgiving) and then 3 days after that meaning there are only 7 days left in November for this phone to be released, which is awesome. the 28th is less than 12 days away and we've already made it this far, what's another week and a half. Just enjoy Thanksgiving and the holiday with family and friends. Don't think about the Nexus and time will fly.
If it comes earlier than the 28th then that's never a bad thing.
The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to Stigy For This Useful Post:
If it's still in user testing, the 28th sounds like the day.
Sigh.
Still gonna stop by the Verizon store, but I don't know what to do.
All I want is a date. I just want a guarantee that if I decide to wait until the 28th, we won't find out that it's been delayed to mid-December.
Is that too much to ask?

EDIT: Hi, Solid! Wow, long time no see since the gTablet forum! Welcome to the madness!
Or have you been here all along and I just didn't see you hiding in plain sight?
FWIW, I too am using an OG Droid, and my battery is a shell of its former self in terms of ability to hold a charge. I looked online, and saw that batteries for the OG are available for under $5, shipped. I plan to buy one so I can use the OG for a music player via wifi once the GNex is available.

Why the 28th? Makes no business sense. If you are going to miss BF, might as well push it to mid December. That would give the RAZR a solid month of sales.

I'm still giving it until Saturday in the hopes there will be a more concrete date (or even a good chance of the 21st, but I'm picking a Rezound if nothing pops up. As big a moral dilemma as "renting" a phone may be, it's not nearly as big as using a phone that isn't yours and could put you into financial obligation to vzw if broken imo. I've been playing with fire for a month and I'm not going to continue to do so. Who knows, I've had good luck with HTC before, I might end up keeping it.
The Following User Says Thank You to zerocool79346 For This Useful Post:
So this source says Monday after Thanksgiving if user testing ends? That's the 28th Kellex heard - sorta lines up.
I still wanna see 21st (web only), 25th or 28th in stores.
With what my sister said about me not being "thrilled", I'm thinking week of 28th. Either the 28th, or possibly December 1 if they go back to their usual Thursday releases.

I don't think I put much stock in the software being a problem either. Otherwise the UK devices wouldn't be releasing either. It's not like they're running 4.02 or something.

Watch it be software compatibility problems with Verizon's apps "My Verizon","Hot Spot", etc... :P It was mentioned that they would be on Verizon's Nexus (I believe the Windsock mentioned it?) Not total bloatware but just a few of Verizon's services.

Well, I don't know about when online sales would start, but Cyber Monday is the 28th. The more geeky black friday for a phone loved by geeks.

Been lurking here for a few weeks.... thanks to all for the great 411.
I just had to jump in and give my $.02 on the whole Razr/Rezound conspiracy theories; I am not buying any of it. Think about it
1. They want to move product, they don't care what it is, they need to see big numbers in this quarter and really don't care how.
2. They have the stock, they want to move it just as bad as you want to have it. It makes their bottom line look really bad to have piles of unsold stock sitting around the warehouse.
3. They don't want to release something that's supposed to be top of the line / high tech / best of the best that ends up being buggy and shuts down their tech support
4. Selling service is their business, not selling phones - they know that they are going to get a nice little bump of new customers with their exclusive. Last thing they want is to do is have those new customers renew their contracts with another provider .
5. They want your money before you spend it on holiday gifts.
6. They want your money before you spend it on other holiday gifts....
7. IMO the hold up has to do with the LTE Don't you think they would have been showing off the LTE version of the GN at the launch if it was working?
8. Look at the return extensions policy they just started. It's BEGGING you to sign up and play with another phone until they can get the one you want out on the streets. There is no way they would have done that if they expected you to hang on to your rental razr.
It's all about selling service -
Hardware comes and goes, but you get 1,000,000 new customers at $100 a month for two years. That's a bunch of scratch

By the time I go to the store and return the phone, get my upgrade status adjusted back, and get on a computer, they might be sold out.
I would hate to see the phone be available on 11/28 or 12/1 and you get screwed out of getting it. I know you're limping along on your old OG droid, but if you can squeeze another few weeks out of it, all will be well. Stay strong, warrior Han!
