Honestly, the 17th to the 21st isn't much more of a wait. I was starting to get a little down because I actually just sold my Vibrant over at XDA, and am now stuck with using a G1 for the time being...so when I was hearing 'not till December' I was like oh man. But this is excellentsauce.

Man this is some exciting news! Thanks for the update. I wonder what the chances are that the store would be sold out, I won't get out of work until around 6pm. In-store pre-order would be nice. Does Verizon do that kind of thing?

Totally agree now that it's soaked in. Monday is perfect for me - a new phone will be a nice reward for studying all weekends/moving! Perfect timing I would say XD

This is exciting news, come on Monday, or any day next week!!!
I just don't want it to be tomorrow, I am stuck in a manager meeting all day with "the powers to be" and have absolutely zero chance sneaking out to Verizon. Afterwards I am on vacation until the Monday after Thanksgiving, so any other day will work!

This is amazing news -- guess the source's info lined up as well as did all the leaks.
I am hoping for a press release sometime tomorrow or Friday and then an in-store release on the 21st so I can have this phone in my hands and do absolutely nothing at work on Monday or Tuesday!

Hey, long time lurker but I never post. Anyways, I went to BJ's and started talking verizon guy there. Tells me he just received a bunch of accessories for gnex and has them locked up in the back. He checked system if phone is listed and not yet but accessories have arrived at retail locals. Woohooo

Hmm...I'd love the 21st, but I'm still not convinced we can get from where we are now to a launch by 21st. I'll feel more comfortable if we get news of phones arriving in stores. Heck, lots of stores are still reporting no accessories. I hate to say it, but I'm planning on the 28th at earliest. And if I'm proven wrong....oh shucks!

Yes, but in phone conversations I was telling her I was really banking on 11/17 or 11/18. I think that when she said I wouldn't be "thrilled", she meant that I wouldn't like waiting another weekend (I'm really impatient; she knows me well).
That would also match up with her "OMG! You're an idiot!" remark when I told her of how I finagled a Dinc2 out of the Verizon VP to hold me over until the SGN drops.

Other than precedents, which have been broken lately, are there any laws of the universe that would prevent it from launching on Tuesday 11/22 or Wednesday 11/23?

With the RAZR launching on a Friday at 11:11am and the HTC device launching on a Monday, it doesn't seem like Verizon is sticking to any normal schedule anymore, so it's not impossible.

This forum has even taken over my BF3 time. Lurking for snippets of news and rumors has been great. Just when I was ready to take a long break from frantically worrying about phone news because of the delays and pushed back release dates we start getting all this exciting news. Like many others on this forum my wife thinks I am crazy for keeping up with a phone that has not been released yet....she is a fruit girl. I have an OG and it still works well enough to get me to the release of GN. I only hope it is as good as I think it will be!
