I compared them both in store today, the RAZR's screen looked like crap compared to the Rezound. Where you high?
Nope lol I thought I wouldn't like the screen on the Razr because of the pentile and the Rezound has an awesome screen but looking and comparing in the store is an entirely different experience. You can't just focus on the resolution. We can take this to a pm if you really want to know all the benefits I have picked up on that makes the Razr just edge out the Rezound in overall.

Seriously though, I doubt many people bought the phone solely for Beats. I'm glad you like the Rezound and the news on battery life is awesome, I am seriously considering that phone. I want to be able to see them both in person before I commit.
I don't doubt that Beats is a gimmick, but it is a gimmick that SOUNDS really good to me. Besides, I have a MUCH easier time saying BEATS than I do REZOUND (that name sucks)
My reasons for sticking with Beats?
GORGEOUS display
Lightning fast navigation and scrolling, app launching, etc
HTC sense 3.5 (it is, in my opinion, far superior to TW or Blur)
Upgradeable storage via SD Card
And yeah, I like the way BEATS sounds!
I just think it SUCKS that VZW, who AGREED to sell ALL THREE phones, threw about 0.2 % of their marketing muscle behind Beats, 99.8% behind their precious RAZR, and are actively SCREWING their customers who want the Nexus. It's pure, straight up BS. If you didn't want to sell a bloat-free phone, then you shouldn't have agreed to sell the Nexus in the first place Big Red!!!!!!

I hope they aren't going to market this as a "cheap version" of the SII. 16Gb for $150 or $199, or something like that. I really hope this is a mistake

I'm pretty sure they already have THOUSANDS of these phones made and sitting around with 32gb. I wouldn't worry too much about what that page says right now.

This may not be a popular idea but I believe e-mailing Google [Nexus Shot-Callers] should take precedence here.
I find it hard to believe that Google does not take Android and the Nexus branding seriously. They want more market share and they want each of their phones to be more adopted than the previous iteration. So this means that almost all the blame, this time, ultimately falls on them.
They made a deal with Verizon [the Devil, in this case].
The sentiment of Google selling directly, again, is gaining ground here. They should go back to that model, after this Charlie Foxtrot by Verizon.
Any e-mails to Google should be 10X more polite than those to Verizon because I'm sure they are not entirely thrilled with VZW's handling of this either.
I'll personally draft one expressing my previous devotion to iOS and explain how the Nexus and ICS have swayed me. I'll also hit heavily on the fact that Verizon should not be a part of their equation for the next Nexus phone.
As long as they make a zillion band phone, they should sell it directly. They should also crank up their marketing arm. I, personally, want them to compete more with Apple. No Apples to Oranges comparisons, please.
I am disgusted with Google and Verizon but here is the main difference.
Verizon "seems" to be fumbling the ball on purpose.
Google just made a bad choice, in choosing Verizon.
I forgive Google. Something about hindsight being 20/20

Ugh. Yes it did. The bad news just keeps on rolling in.
I think I'm gonna take a break from this thread for a while. Mainly because last time I said that, the "release date" was changed from 12/17 to 11/21 within an hour

He said also to not rule out next week still, but not to count on it. Oh and Hans, if your lurking, I got his name this time. So don't spank me...

I'm wondering why nobody has side-loaded the .apk to let us know if Flash even works on ICS or not.
I switched to Android specifically because of the full internet experience which included Flash. If Flash doesn't work on ICS at all, that may cause me to re-think my next phone purchase, including the GNex.

So now there is only a 16gb version.... for what I assume will be $299. No Flash player. Not coming out till December.... I have lost a lot of interest.

One has to wonder if Verizon will wake the sleeping Giant with this move..delaying Googles flagship device in the US market.
Moto board voted to merge with Google so this deal is done...and who does Verizon sleep with day in and day out...it's Moto!
Now granted I am vindictive at the moment but in business things have a way of coming around...when you least expect it. I would LOVE to see Google stick it to Verizon in the next few phone cycles and make Big Red pay for this delay.

yeah I just sent my rezound back today after only having it one day, I didn`t like it it was lagging, I turned off the sound for weather effects and still would play after multiple reboots, the screen was nice but that was about it and it, there was few other quirks.
Those sounds are not turned on by default. Very likely related to your lag. Are you saying you turned it on and it got stuck on? Also, what do you mean it stayed on over multiple reboots--did you hold power and select restart phone? These things ship with "fastboot" on (unfortunate name), so power off/on doesn't really restart the phone unless you disable it.

That really sucks. I use about 20 now counting sd and internal memory. Hard to believe they would be doing this. The razr now has lots more storage in total. Why would they not give an option on this? I hope this is wrong.

That guy Charlie from the UK tried it earlier today. It loaded, but said something about the device not being comaptible.

as much as this reminds me of the thunderbolt release all over again, at least they haven't started showing commercials for the device yet. i wanted to smash my TV every time i saw one of the HTC ads during the 3 weeks they were on before the bolt's release. otherwise, conditions are exactly the same; intentionally keeping customers in the dark to sell more of a current device. the iphone4 had just come to VZ when the bolt was supposed to be released, now we're stuck waiting on the GNex because of the razr. if this weren't the case, they would have said something about a release date by now. VZ simply knows that if they give us a date, people may wait. if they don't, people will buy what is already available.
bottom line though: lack of communication is the easiest way to ruin any relationship, personal or business.

She realized that I was freaking out a little bit, so she called a coworker who works in an assistant position where she is more in the know than my sister is.
She tells me that she is still hearing next week. She made it a point to say that she doesn't know if it will be Monday, but that Verizon thinks that having the SGN for sale during Black Friday/Cyber Monday is their best bet.
I'm still pretty hopeful for next week, for what it's worth.

Don't count out the Razr. Do a typing test on the Rezound and the Razr, look at the reception. Rezound definitely has a better camera, but video has a bug it studders.
