Seriously for a second. Just like we thought they'd be moronic to not release before BF... there is a point at which why bother to push for b4 Christmas. For example... 12/8 comes and goes, 12/15 comes and goes... what is the point of pushing for 12/24 if Christmas presents have already been bought.
Missing BF (possibly) is a huge mistake... biggest shopping day of the year. They will lose many customers to ATT, T-Mo, Sprint, etc... to SGSII and other good phones and much better plan rates.
My point being they already screwed the pooch (possibly)... what makes us think that they won't continue to make the same asinine mistakes?
If they released tomorrow it would be one of the best moves they can make at this point.

Okay guys / gals, I didn't want to explain this last week, but I too have a source. Let me explain:
I have an AKC golden retriever that has won many medals in competitions across the country. As such, requests for Scout's stud services come up often and when the timing is right, I agree to stud him out. Last week, I got a request from a "high ranking" Verizon Director of Marketing who wanted to breed her golden, Molly. I sent Scout to New York to perform the services and over the course of pillow talk, Molly told Scout that her owner told her the date was 12/8.
Now, I know what you must be thinking: "Even if Molly DID know the date and DID tell Scout what it was, how would he be able to convey this message to burntorangefan? He doesn't speak golden retriever!"
Well what I haven't told you is that Scout is also the spokesman for Bush's Baked Beans and as most of you are probably aware, he speaks PERFECT English!!! So there you have it, as much as I don't want to have to tell you, this information is extremely credible and I'd advise the OP be updated accordingly.
I don't believe it because I don't want to wait until Dec 8th. Now if Molly said Nov 21st, I'd believe it 100%

False. I have been tracking the movement of all known pets of Verizon Marketing executives, looking for clues, and I have not noted any such liaisons. although there is this one shifty-eyed hamster that I am sure is up to something. but WHAT?

The way I look at it is - they really don't care. They will get plenty of BF customers to buy the Razr, ReZound or any other phone. They won't lose any more customers than normal and are likely to pick up more with their current phone choices. Those who want this phone want it because of ICS. Whether they sell it tomorrow, last week, next week or December 31 it won't matter because there still won't be another phone with ICS. Why rush it? This way they can continue to sell other inventory without another phone to push. They will sell every Nexus they buy from Samsung. They really aren't worried when they start selling it.

A little annoyed that they couldn't get Murray a TD. Happy that Bryant got one though. I don't care about the Cowboys, but, my fantasy team demands that those guys play well.
(oh, and when Mike Jenkins isn't hurt, I gotta pull for my boy from USF)
More OT... My fins are looking good, your boys better be ready on Thursday.

I don't even get why people on reddit hate me. I simply posted a report on what I had been told, and I was just making predictions based on the pieces of the puzzle. I stated my opinion on the internet and they took it as fact and are now pissed that I was wrong... LOL
And now I'm just reporting more information--not even opinions--and they're getting mad at me again. I just don't get it :S

Question: I was surprised last week when I bought my wife the rezound that you can no longer upgrade in advance of your normal upgrade time. My Wife's upgrade was December 20th and I just assumed like all the other years with Verizon they wave the date since it was so close. Well they didn't and I had to use my upgrade.
So is it this way too on the phone if you call them to order a device? It never used to be. If so, guess I'm stuck till late December till I can get one.

I am allowed to upgrade more than 6 months before my normal upgrade time. Not sure what your deal is though.

But if it's wrong, then you have to expect others to view other information with skeptisicm. However, no one should call your character into question here.

In the take it with a grain of salt category.... I just got back from my corp store. I asked one of the sales reps about the GNex and he gave the standard crap we have all heard. But there was a lady there with him that I had never seen before. She did not have a badge or anything to show she was an employee except for a Verizon badge holder hanging around her neck. So she was not a customer, and after a few seconds she chimed in and said that we would see it in the next two weeks. I pressed and asked if that meant before the end of the month and she just kind of stared at me with a grin. I pressed further and told her that I had heard it was in testing and that it ended yesterday. She said that is correct. If they found no bugs then they would be releasing it this week. She said that they would make an announcement tomorrow and begin selling them the next day, IF the testing when okay. She said if not then it would go back to google and then retested and they will try again next week. We shall see...

I dont think its hate. but this is why you are getting criticized:
Why thank you! I'm very certain it will be 11/18 so I will look forward to the reddit gold! If by some stroke of non-luck it turns out to not be 11/18, I am sorry and I will forever be referred to on r/Android as "that one guy who was very certain the Galaxy Nexus would come out on 11/18 and it didn't".
I've changed my stance and I believe that if the phone is not released in stores on Friday, there will at least be pre orders. I am sure something will happen on Friday.

I think that for VZW, "testing" is just the excuse. They can ALWAYS find some nit-picky thing wrong, especially with their own crap bloatware. It simply comes down to them choosing or not choosing to release it. I'd imagine that RZAR sales were not stellar this weekend either... so the chances of a GN release before BF cannot bode well.

See now was that so hard Verizon? I can live with this...it is logical and I appreciate them wanting to work out any kinks before releasing a phone. There is no commitment to a date just that, 'we want it to be everything it is meant to be'.
