Although I like Prime better than Galaxy, the important thing is that it looks like we may get our hands on this beauty this week!

One way to look at it is Best buy is obviously getting it ready to launch in their online store and retail locations, which ultimately means it is coming soon.

On the flip side it means that BB will be carrying it but like the listing says, anytime from 11/27-12/31 which means "before the end of the year" like VZW already told us.

I personally think if it was going to be two+ weeks out, like say a mid december launch, then we wouldnt be able to search and find the listing with all the details (except a purchase date)

In any case, it's still a big change. I know Steven will be tied up for part of tomorrow so I've updated the title and OP in light of the news.

I'm feeling good about this week. Just remember to be cautiously optimistic. No need to set yourself up for disappointment.

Well, since I'm out of town for training M-W, it would figure if it launches before Thursday

Best Buy had a similar screw up when the BlackBerry Storm released at about this time in '08. That was a highly anticipated launch, and I recall it showed up in Best Buy circulars a week or so prematurely. People were getting pretty indignant about it, at least according to their forum posts on Crackberry, but all the store reps could do was shrug their shoulders and say, "I got nothing!"

True, just as long as the thread doesn't get locked first.

As much as I'd like to see us hit 1,000 pages/50,000 posts, it wouldn't upset me if we started getting phones today and the thread was locked before we hit that milestone.

Agreed entirely! As sweet as breaking the 50k barrier would be here, I will take a release prior to hitting 50k any day!

Well since all we need is like 2 hours to hit 50000, I'd be willing to wait an extra 2 hours to get the phone

Quick question.

Will it have an option to capture 720p video at 60fps?

This may seem like a simple question but nothing about this phone, or launch, has been simple.

TIA

Though the difference in names and pricing between the two raises an eyebrow. At least it's something.

So you really think you're going to show up at BB tomorrow and you're going to be able to buy it without VZW having said a word about it?

Slow down or you're gonna be disappointed.

Y'all remember a few eons ago (thread time) there was speculation that this would be a Best Buy exclusive. I don't recall the reasoning, and whatever it was, it's been pretty well discredited simply due to the fact that Verizon acknowledged its existence in that vague press release (the late Friday afternoon one back in October).

But -- wow -- what if? Something would have leaked from a BB employee by now, right? Once these phones hit the distribution channels, the jig is up and everybody will be talking about it.

Fingers crossed, though. I can smell that new electronics smell wafting my way.

Oh c'mon. Next you'll be telling me there is no Santa Claus.

Yes, I know the odds of anyone picking up a Prime/Galaxy today is pretty remote, but a guy can fantasize can't he?

Me? Setting up my home screens/wallpaper and installing my favorite apps.
