I am currently employed at Best Buy mobile and i got an email from our verizon rep listing holiday phones (phones that are releasing in the next 3 months) and on the list was what they called the "samsung prime" I'm assuming this is the droid prime and i was super excited to see it officially from someone from verizon! among others on the list was Thunderbolt 2, samsung strat...hmm i cant remember the others.. i will repost when i get back into work tomorrow and read the email again.

well, I have a personal work email that i can only use when im on best buys intranet (on one of best buys computers) and i know the verizon rep better than i know any of the other reps so i get emails from her every so often. There were not model numbers next to the any of the phones. at least i dont think there was. again, i will be able to check tomorrow.

"Samsung Prime?" .. close enough.
What did he or she call the new T-Bolt, the HTC Thunderbird?
Just kidding, I too await a screeny of the email. I played with a Bionic the other day and decided my D3 was good enough as I await the Prime.
sorry, i just got off. anyway I took a quick sneaky photo of the list. looks like it is showing what phone they are replacing. anyway here's the photo.. oh and han... thanks for believing in me /sarcasm
Edit: I like how she spelled stratosphere wrong

Just a suggestion: If I were you I'd redact the whole thing.
EDIT: Thanks for the edit, DaSchmarotzer! By the time I realized that my post might give that particular person away, you had already cleaned it up. WHEW

You called that number???
Geez, I hope there's no "missed call" list somewhere and that person calls you back! I suppose you could always say you had the wrong number... and BTW, do they have a date for release? j/k
well the breakout was supposed to be released sept 1 and the stratosphere the 8th and neither of those happened. That was according to the leaked roadmap awhile ago that had the bionic and all them on it. The bionic launched when it was supposed to the others didn't though.

So, I'm a little confused. There's the Nexus Prime forum and this, the Samsung Droid Prime forum. Are there any other forums to follow that may be referring to an upcoming ICS Verizon phone that I'm missing? Which one is the "real" forum for the Prime?
Thanks in advance.

I'd say that the "real" forum is the one that contains the rumor that you believe. Some say that it's absurd that the next Google phone will carry the Droid name while others believe it to be nearly certain. What do you believe? Follow that forum!

I raised the same question on this forum before as I thought Nexus Prime = Droid Prime exclusively for verizon and so this forum is redundant. But now it seems like Samsung Droid Prime goes to Verizon while Nexus Prime goes to other carriers. So it makes to sense to have this forum unless it's back to Nexus Prime = Droid Prime officially.
I would like to see pics of the actual email (names protected)
Take a screenshot on computer, edit names out and post it. This looks like somebody typed up the document in notepad.
Believe what you want to believe. It's as real as it gets. It's not a professional document, it's just an email from a rep to a single best buy. I'm not taking another pic.

It's OK bro; do what you makes you (and your sidter) comfortable. You've already done enough in my eyes

While this is a valid suggestion, and reasonable, if he doesn't want to, it's not a dagger in the heart of our hopes. Both my sister (works at Verizon) and blackman_x and have indicated a November Verizon release.
The fact that this document that Mannequins released contains no dates, even if he were to prove unequivocally that it is legitimate, would it really add that much to our knowledge? Does the fact that a "Sam Prime" is thought to replace the Charge really change anything?
Yes, it may be labeled the "Charge II" or some such nonsense. But the general feeling is that Samsung will be releasing the very first ICS, LTE enabled phone on Verizon in October/November (most likely mid-November). They can call it Granny's Panties LTE for all I care, and I'd still buy it.
Edit:
To Mannequins,
We greatly appreciate your efforts, although we would like for you to pump your source for more information, if possible! And feel free to use whatever means you deem necessary!

Droid Prime sounds more likely to come to Verizon so I guess I found the right one! Mannequins made me a believer.

Absolutly shouldn't be a dagger through your heart. I'm in the camp its dropping as well and on Verizon. I'm just saying this doc is something he typed up himself and is trying to pass off as "official"
No offense mannequins and don't take it personal. I've just seen this too many times.

I agree with you in that more evidence is welcome. If it wasn't for the phone number that was later redacted, I would be in 100% agreement that Mannequins is a lying little weasel who deserves to have that sprinkly pepper that Pizza Hut uses rubbed all over his anus.
But either it's legitimate or else his friend does, in fact, work at Verizon and is in on his little joke. I just don't see it.
Also, you can't ignore the fact that those MAP lists floating around every so often ARE SO FREAKING EASY to copy on your Word processor, add something like "Samsung Prime" at the end with its own dates and price point, save it, and take a picture of the screen and release it into the public system.
I don't put much stock in any of these "leaks". The only thing that will convince me that the phone is going to drop soon is if we see it go through FCC and we get some blurry cam shots of it.
Even if my sister were to tell me "It's coming in 2 weeks!", the only thing that would do is reassure me. Every one of you would have more than ample reason to suspect I'm lying as well.
All I know is im super ready to get a new phone, ive been sitting on my uprgrade since early June I would get the Bionic But there's noo way in hell I'd give up my Super AMOLED for some pixelated mess, and a camera that takes worse pics then my 5MP, I cant wait to see what ICS And a SAmoled+ screen with wide angle viewing and 2mp ffc and LTE thats Faster then my Comcast (xfinty) home internet Connection its gonna be great!!!!!
ha ck what happened to verizon getting the sgs2 lte? Ha so much for your so called source bahahahah
Already explained that one. I assumed he was speaking about the SGSII. It was never mentioned by name only as a "high end Samsung LTE device"
After news broke of no SII on Verizon I sent another email asking why the "bad" info I was met with the response "as per our previous conversation a high end Samsung phone with LTE capabilities will launch on Verizon. I cannot divulge anymore information beyond what I have already said"
I assumed and you know what they say when you assume

And so much for the 3d dual core being the stratosphere. Looks like you weren't getting very good info or just making shit up as you go. But the way you were talking on other forums about how the sgs2 would have lte you would think you would get that verified before saying it.

Already said I assumed the phone was the sgsII. I didn't get specific names or model numbers nor did I ever claim I did. In regards to the strat I posted in big letters RUMOR and let it be known it was second hand info. Never claimed it was from original source and everyone knew as such.
Fact of the matter is the info is correct if we see the Prime show up. So until then stretch your legs out and sit back and relax. If the Prime doesn't show up ill freely admit I was given bad info......

Yeah well a lg high end is launching on verizon too, so is every other manufacturer so that doesn't mean anything.

Let it go, folks. It's a PHONE! And it's not even out yet! I know we're all wanting any information on this device that we can get, but there is NO REASON - none! - to tear into each other like this.
I'm not trying to get a group hug going on here or anything, but can we at least be civilized about it?

And this just in; a high end Moto phone with LTE should be launching any day now.... oh wait.
I kid. Let's give CK a break he's just trying to help us out...
Well if you would see the way he talks on other forums like he knows all then yeah you would understand. Plenty of leaks will show up and you can check twitter out because the testers are on there and i put more faith into them than I do CK. Just saying.
