Ok sorry if this has been answered numerous times. But what are the 3 pins on the right side of the phone? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I believe they are for charging while docked.

Yep, two are for charging while docked and one is a trigger for the dock mode.

The GSM pogo docks are on the Play Store although I think they are on backorder at the moment. If you are with Verizon you can't get a car dock at all. Amazing, huh?

Some people have used the GSM dock for their CDMA phone but they've had to modify the dock (there are threads in here somewhere if you do a search).

THe modification is very minor to get the VZW GNex to work, and the tutorial on how to modify it is well done.

Doesn't work when you have a case.

My fix:

  • Pick up an appropriate Seidio holster that fits your phone. (I have the Seidio Active holster).
  • Remove the clip and attach it to the mount of your choice (there are many), landscape if you prefer.
  • Enjoy.
