Hey all, the proud 2nd day owner of a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. I absolutely love all the customization I can do with this thing and how there seems to be an app for everything. Coming from the Blackberry, the speed and functionality alone makes me wonder why I ever dealt with those email bricks before.

That said, there was one functionality that I loved on the bberry: when I came into work and plugged it into the computer, I would receive no more exchange email messages to the device. This meant it wasn't beeping and whirring everytime a new email came in throughout the day.

I'd like something similar to this on the GN. It doesn't have to stop sync'ing but I would like it to not notify me during the day. I know I can go into the email settings and just turn off email notification when I come into work, but I was wondering if there was an app that let me customize all this (and probably more).

Welcome. I've heard some people mention Notification Manager.

I use outlook exchange as well and while i don't mind the notification in the status bar, I use LightFlow to shut off the LED, otherwise it would be blinking all day and night. You can also use LightFlow to set the LED COLOR! and time to 15 minutes only or 2 hours for example (for all notifications), as well as setting the LED blink interval.

Thanks Matty, I have LightFlow already so that works for me. I guess I was hoping there was some kind of app that will allow you to customize when your email (or other apps) sync. For now I'll just shut off sync while I'm at work, and turn it on when I leave if I remember.

You may be able to do this through LightFlow using the sleep settings under general settings.
