Default Phone slowed down significantly. Why?

When I got my phone (back in December), it was lightening fast. However, now I noticed that it has slowed down significantly. It takes time to open "phone" app or any other apps or operations takes it a moment to respond. I've been running same applications for the past few months so no new faulty apps to blaim.
I wonder if anyone else seen and experienced the same on their phone?

When was the last time you rebooted? Sometimes an app or process goes rogue and just gums up the works. It can happen after a day of up time or a month. If it continues after a reboot, you might need to dig a little further.

Yep, rebooted multiple times already. Not much of a result to have with the slow issue.

I assume you are fully stock. I am but I did unlock the bootloader and root. What specifically is slow? Screen transitions, apps loading, apps switching, or everything in general. I have notice my phone slows down from time to time but usually only briefly.

could be email piling up. how long do you have it staying synced? also you might want to check out some of the apps you have what their cached data is, may be getting large just by use over time and if you use them alot they are now constantly having to search all that historical data for stuff.

I am stock completely. App openning up is very slow, even going home from app is slow. Screen transition is fine though.

I have not tried pulling the battery yet. I will try it.

What do you mean? My Gmail is pulled constantly, my yahoo account pulls once a day and my Exchange pulls every 15 min.

I would try what Proph recommended with clearing cache on some of your apps.

How can I find out which app stores a lot of cache? Should I just go to the app management and go app by app and clean cache on each one of them?

I would look to the apps you use the most or ones that are known to be cache hogs (market, facebook, zedge, email, currents, etc).

generally it isn't a problem unless you have alot of mail, usually it is a storage problem of alot of synced mail eating up storage space but alot will slow down the phone as well.

i am not talking about polling, but the amount of mail saved on the phone. for example if you go to the gmail app, click on the 3 buttons in the bottom right and go to settings, about halfway down you will see something about numbers or days to sync messages. default is 30 or so if i remember.

as for yahoo somewhere in the settings i would imagine is something simlar about how many days to hold onto messages on the device.

I just went through all apps and cleared all cache. I think it is little better responding on app opening, but not as fast as it used to be.

Did any apps recently have updates in the Market?
