Default [GSM] [AT&T] MMS receiving inconsistant. Blank pics received.

I am having MMS issues since JB arrived. Some people send me MMS and I get a blank white square that does nothing when I click it. Others send me pics and I get them just fine. I have sent pics out and the pic I sent is a blank white box in my Messaging thread, but the person gets it just fine on their phone.

I am on AT&T. Experienced it before and after I rooted. Experienced it on 3 different ROMS. Stock, AndroidMe & Jelly Belly.

Anyone else getting this issue?

Yes. I am also having the same issue. But when I send out pictures, they get them fine. It's only when everyone sends me a picture I get a blank thumbnail, then when i long press I have the option to save attachment. Then the picture gets saved into my gallery. It's sort of a pain. I'm not rooted on my Galaxy Nexus and I'm on JB. I am also using at&t. I checked my apn settings and they are the same as my wife's galaxy s2. I don't see what the problem is.

Well... I have narrowed it down... my MMS issues are involving people on T-Mobile. I never had issues getting pics from these people when I was using an iPhone.

It may be something as simple as a slight modification in your APN settings. Google for the AT&T APN settings for your phone.

Ah hah.. I'm not alone with this issue. Both my wife and I have a GNex. I'm on T-Mobile prepaid and she is on Straight Talk AT&T. When I send her an MMS it is received but blank. Long press And save will save to gallery where it is viewable. She can send to me, no problem. She can receive from Sprint and Verizon, no problem.

Curious if the people on T-Mobile that send MMS to you have other phones besides GNex?

1 person has a GNex on T-Mobile. 1 person is using an LG DoublePlay on T-Mo, 2 others using Galaxy S II.

For now I'm (T-Mobile) just using Google+ to share pics with my wife (AT&T). I'm not sure if this MMS issue is a GNex, Jelly Bean, T-Mobile, or AT&T issue. Any ideas to who or how to report this issue?

So its your phone or your wife's that has the issue?

I would report it to Google (if you bought the phone from the Play Store) as well as AT&T.

Woops sorry about that.

If you both have a Gnex, perhaps its a carrier issue. I would contact them to see whats up.

T-Mobile to ATT pic messages are now working fine for me. How about you?
