Question Is it me or do you sometimes have to download an app update twice?

This is a werid one. In the Play Store when you have an app that needs an update it will say in "What's New" part what they have done to it. I download it fine and it installs. Then sometimes within a day (not on all apps) Play Store will say there's an update for the same app but the What's New part doesn't have any new information!?

This doesn't happen all the time and I can't see any recurring apps that do it. Anyone else got this?

Yes, I notice it all the time (not every update or every app) but it is annoying

Yeah, I thought I was going crazy with this too. It's definitely happening though. It seemslike its been happening since the Play Store was launched.. its been doing it for a while. I'm rooted running Liquid's beta JB ROM right now.

Same here on my Toshiba Thrive as well as my Galaxy Nexus so OS doesn't matter.

I've never had this happen.

What is it that all of you have in common? Carrier? Android version? Rooted? Unrooted? Custom ROM?

GSM, T-Mobile, rooted, AOKP Jelly Bean Nightly.

glad to know that I'm not going crazy! I knew that is what had been happening but never paid that much attention to really make a definite call on it.

Vzw, stock locked unrooted: at first I even gave an app a bad rating and comments because I thought the dev was releasing an update everyday

Next time this happens, go into Settings > apps and check the version of the app that you have on your phone and compare against the version that it is wanting to update to.

Could it be some app developers do not update minor bug fixes?

This is true. Atm an app that I updated yesterday is asking me to update again but this time the What's New field has been changed.
