Default Galaxy Nexus notification/ringer volume increases after reboot

I just flashed the AOKP ROM a while ago and I have Audio Control installed with silent mode set and every time my phone reboots, my notification/ringer volume always goes up to the second loudest volume. Idk if this is caused by the ROM or the Audio Control app but is there a way to fix this?
