uninstall and reinstall maps and navigation on jelly bean 4.2

Is there a way to uninstall and reinstall maps and navigation on galaxy nexus without flashing to factory image...... Since I got the ota for 4.2 my phone can't locate position and it's always stops at..... Trying to get current location....
I noticed issues with notification and when I reinstalled these apps notification worked fine... So I was wondering if reinstalling maps may help

Just clear the app's data. Settings/applications/all/maps, though I doubt that will fix GPS not getting a lock.

There seem to be a few apps having problems with GPS under 4.2. I know that The Weather Channel app is one of them, it will keep the phone from being able to connect to GPS. I'd look at disabling/uninstalling any apps that use GPS until you find one that fixes the issue.
