Default Unlocked AND rooted?

Just a curious question really, since I don't plan on messing with my phone much.

I purchased my Galaxy Nexus direct from google. Therefore, I know it is unlocked. And that is what I want from all my phones.

But is this phone also rooted?

I know the differences between unlocked and rooted and you can have one without the other. Just curious if this is both.

Well im sure its not rooted and I guess I'd be a little surprised if it were shipped unlocked, never know though I guess. At any rate being a Nexus its easy to unlock and/or root.

Won't be rooted. It may be unlocked as far as carriers go but it's bootloader will still be locked

like the above said. there is often confusion between a "carrier unlocked" phone which is what you have and a phone with "an unlocked bootloader" to my knowledge no device is sold with an unlocked bootloader.
