Default Sprint Gnex 4.2.1 Leak(JOP40D-GA02) - OTA Coming Soon?

It appears that a 4.2.1 update has been leaked for the Sprint Gnex. You can download it directly from google here

Only reason I call it a leak is because it hasn't been made official via sprint by sending it out via ota, or by Google via posted factory image on their developer website. Google has always been the host for ota update files even when they actually were not eventually the official update, as was the case with the a 4.0.4 build for the Verizon version.

Do I need root access to patch this? If not is there a how to guide?

...and now we know why VZW is called "Big Red" - it's b/c they are a big freakin' stop sign when it comes to updates.

No, you don't need to be rooted. search youtube fore qbking77 and sprint galaxy nexus, he has a tutorial to update. I will be doing so myself on tuesday if my gnex I bought on ebay hasn't received the update yet. Cheers!
