Default Any fix for one-way call quality issues?

So I bought a GNex to replace a Tbolt that had constant signal drop out issues and now I've got a phone with constant issues where the person I'm talking to can't understand what I'm saying. They can hear something but its a garbled mess.

The microphone records fine using a sound recorder and I can hear them fine, it isn't transmitting correctly it seems.

4.1.1, i515.09 V.FF02/ i515.FG02

I see several threads about it but no known fixes can be discerned from what I've seen. Has anyone figured this one out?
