I have been having trouble with it freezing.....but only when I am searching my sent email folder. Opened the native Samsung email app last night for the first time. I think the native email app has better options.

Have you:

Cleared cache for GMail?
Removed the widget and added it back?

No I've not tried to clear the cache but have tried to re-adding the widget. I'll try clearing the cache. See if that helps.

Had to do a factory reset to resolve the issue. Sucked!
