Default Note --> HDMI via microUSB

Hi everyone,

Looking at how to connect my new galaxy note 10.1 to tv (for showing movies, etc) - it seems like you have to use the samsung 30-pin to mhl hdmi adapter which costs around £30-50 - a lot of cash!

Does anyone know if it would work to convert the 30 pin --> micro USB then use micro USB --> HDMI?

I.e. use these two adapters together:
Micro USB to HDMI MHL HD TV Adapter Cable Samsung Galaxy SII i9100 S2 Nexus NoTe | eBay
bl Micro USB Female to 30pin for samsung galaxy tab P1000 7500 7510 7300 adapter | eBay

Thanks for your help.

Of course if anyone has any other (cheap!) ways to connect a tv please say

This works for various outputs. I ordered a similar one from another source but this is cost slightly more than those with a single USB output.

This will not work. It is an OTG adapter that has nothing to do with MHL.

You also require a power source to use the MHL adapter. The MHL adapter has a slot for HDMI AND another slot for an external power supply which you would use your OEM cable for in most cases.
