hoping to try and get my hands on an adapter that i can plug my micro usb into that will then charge and transfer data from my note 10.1. so basically an adapter for the note 10.1 that uses the mirco usb from my s3.
are these around? anyone got one that can comment?
There are such adapters around. All of them are 3rd-party-made and I cannot say if they actually work or not. They are generally ones with card readers built-in.
Buy an adapter like that and you end up with no space saved not carrying the original cable.

is the tab 30 pin the same as the note 10.1 30 pin? if so this is perfect. i only need one charger and usb lead
i want to speak to you too about JB 4.1 got to sort a few things out before i hit you up
OK this makes connection between a Note 30pin connector and micro usb. BUT unless it incorporates polarity crossover it probably can only be used for data connection and NOT for charging!

Haven't seen one with a micro usb output so you will also need a fullusb to micro adaptor.
thanks mate but from what i can gather its the other way round...the adapter will only charge with no data transfer. i found a million of the cables you suggested but they arent fit for purpose. the one i put up is only 2 bucks ill buy it and see how it goes.

No its not, "mate". I have three different 2.1A chargers. None of them will charge my GN10.1 unless I connect them with a polarity switching cable. Then they work fine. I have two - you don't need a "million".

Another quick point, that I am sure you know. The charger should be 2.0/2.1 amps. Standard phone chrgers are 0.5/0.6 amps. They will work but will take a long time (probably around 24 hours) to fully charge the Note10.1.

hahahaha yeah mate i figured that out the hard way! took phone charger when i went away for work and the note lead...slept for 6 hours and woke up and it only charged about 15%....got home and used the note charger and a massive difference! thanks for the help!!
just another thought...havent searched it so im typing out loud..can you get a 30 pin one end micro usb the other and transfer date through the phone and note via only 1 lead??? possible?
Another suggestion: buy a polarity switching adapter without the 30 pin connector, but with USB only. I have posted links to those in the past and DX have them too.
