I am able to see photos in files when connected to the camera but I cant figure how to download them to the tablet. Gallery doesnt offer a downoload option so where is it?

Not quite sure what you want to do...move photos you've taken with the Tablet to a PC? Move photos from your PC to your tablet? In either case, you should be able to use the My Files file manager, when connected to your PC, to drag files to and fro. I've come to enjoy AirDroid (available from the Play store) to move files around wirelessly.

Seems so obvious now. Thanks. It is easy to move the photo from camera to a different file on tablet. Is there a way to copy rather than move? I have the camera directly connected to the tablet. I don't see the copy option.

If you use MyFiles it should have both Copy and Move. I do not have a camera to test right now.
