Default How did you use your Note today?

Read a chapter of a novel using the Kindle app
Played a game of solitaire
Pulled up the instructions for an assignment I was grading
Checked and responded to email
Sent one email to my calendar as an event (love this feature!!)
Pulled up my "to do" list (stored in S Note) and crossed off completed items
Reviewed lecture notes (stored as PDF file) to prepare for Monday's class
Responded to a Words with Friends request

It's only 2:30.....how are YOU using YOUR Note today?

Read a magazine
Took notes during a meeting using S Note (to tell the truth...doodled during a meeting using s note)
Played some Minecraft during lunch.
Crossed items off of my to do list as well, on S Note. There is nothing quite like physically crossing an item off in red (digital) ink
Checked email while also checking calendar items on split screen.

I don't miss my ipad at all!

What app do you use that you can just cross off items?

I mainly surfed art sites I belong to for more art ideas.
Came here for tips on improving my note 10.1, and saying hello to everyone here... (paw wave)

Did I say I love my Gnote 10.1?
I'm still at the early stages of drawing, but with the gnote and the s-pen, I've already drawn 2 doodles after just owning it one night, with a injured hand and arm btw....

Today I thought I'd really figure out how to arrange the various icons and panels and work out what a widget really does.

By mistake I discovered a widget called User Manual, which is really a link to a website, that gives loads of info that I've never heard of.

Amazing (and curiously secret).

On a typical day, lots of general purpose tablet apps in my case...

If in wifi range, I use mine to check email throughout the day, as well as basic calendaring (using Google's calendar app) and task tracking (using Astrid). I haven't warmed up to the Samsung apps yet.

Internet surfing during idle moments. I find the native browser quite usable. This is my 1st 10 inch device, so this is a treat.

On the road, I use an assortment of travel tools. Tripit and FlightTrack to figure out which gate to sprint to next. Weatherbug lets me see the nasty winter weather I managed to dodge (so far). NHL Gamecenter app to watch or at least listen to Bruins games.

Google Play Magazines look really good, and I've moved all my subscriptions off of B&N and onto Google. I was pleased to see they've added Asimov's and Analog, as well as month-to-month subscriptions. Magazines look really good on the 10 inch screen.

Ditto for the Boston Globe app.

A few SGN-specific things I've started with...

I'm spending a lot of time agonizing over whether to use Polaris Office (text editor I can draw in) or Lecture Notes (doodle pad I can insert text in) for taking notes at work. I've used both in meetings already, and am already at the point that I don't take a paper pad into meetings anymore. I'm also torn between soft keyboard and handwritten input.

I've been doing some sketching with Autodesk Sketchbook. I haven't sketched anything in years, so it's fun doing it again.

Way back in high school, I wanted to buy a synthesizer. I still have an old 1979 PAIA catalog that I'd highlighted the unit I wanted in. I stumbled onto the Caustic 2 rackmount synth/sampler app and am wasting a lot of time channeling my inner Brian Eno. (It's probably a good thing I bought a computer instead of the synth.) Not SGN-specific, but the speakers and size help.

Paper is for the most part gone. Between the !0.1 & N2, rarely does the need arise. I use Lecture Notes extensively.

Meetings today, with several breakout sessions. I had the agenda already loaded up into S Note and marked it up as I went through the day. Received a couple of paper handouts and I used Cam-Scanner (free in the Play store) to quickly digitize them into PDF so I could store & mark them up in S Note as well. Took a couple of pictures of PowerPoint presentations to include in my notes. After each session, I sent the S Notes, converted to PDF, into Evernote so they are both backed up and fully searchable. Checked email in between meeting sessions.

Love my Note!

You gotta give 'S Note' a try for note taking. I am getting used to it and it ROCKS. Just ordered a Wacom Feel Stylus to use with it. Check out this thread Especially the YouTube videos and also this thread on LectureNotes

I'm liking Kingsoft Office better than Polaris. More features for working with Word documents, and yet it's free.

What I've used in the last 24 hours:

Kingsoft Office for work documents
Kindle for reading
Firefox for web surfing and have used the S-pen with Firefox to write comments on other people's blog posts
USA TV Droid for checking TV listings
Evernote for general note-keeping
S Note for a particular topic that I'm adding to when I have ideas
WWOZ app for listening to some New Orleans music
TuneIn Radio for other music
Pandora for other other music
Beach Buggy Blitz because I'm terrible at that kind of game and I want to improve my coordination enough to control the car so that it doesn't go into the water or up on the mountain
Weather Bug for weather forecasts
HBO Go for watching part of a movie
Word Search for relaxation
AntTek Explorer for moving things between computers and tablet and looking at a PDF I moved
S Planner for updating some upcoming events
Play Store for looking for apps

I used mine today for:

Browsing forums and posting with TapaTalk
Checked company email thru day with TouchDown for Exchange
Took notes at customer meeting in S-Note with new Wacom Bamboo Stylus Feel
Sent a PDF to my email on tablet and used iAnnotate PDF to review with client at his desk on the SGN 10.1
Used Wi-Fi HotSpot feature of my SGN 10.1 with 4G/LTE from Verizon to pull email to my laptop on side of road for con call
Watched breaking news videos of attack on Boston Marathon at bar with a friend

Lecture Notes is far more than a doddle program. I use it extensively for bunches of things.

Default Treadmill

my gym has WIFI and I spend every other day on it for an hour. I would not without being able to watch Netflix or loading movies on it. It makes it easy.
