Ts... I got curious and ebay searched for covers... Wow, there are a lot of choices now, except not all oem. I did see one oem black cover, but not sure if that was legit.

Check out reply I got from unique skins regarding the Note 2

" We do plan on supporting that device. Please check back with us soon."

I miss having this much 3rd party accessory support.

No reason to believe otherwise. Samsung has taken the same approach to the Note 2 as they did for the sgs3, with their devices having the same form factor both internationally and in the US

someone on Android Central posted an image of a Zenus case, and it's absolutely gorgeous. Going to their website, it seems they have a bunch of neat offerings for the Note 2:

Galaxy Note 2 - Smart Phone

I might go for the Color Edge Diary collection

I read somewhere someone saying the original Samsung flip case is hard to take off. Not sure why cause I took it right off and put it right back on with no problem. On the side of the phone where the power button is, the case as an indent; just like other galaxy phones. The other way to take it off with no headache is to hold the phone towards you and lift it out from the flip side of the cover. It literally is a snap.

I bet whoever said that was just hyper sensitive about his/her products and didn't want to break it.

Hahaha...Jun, you know me when it comes to accessories. I was the same way with the Evo and the Photon. I have a feeling a lot of people on here are gonna hate me just the same because I'm the worst influence when it comes to Not spending on accessories.

And just for that, I'm gonna make it worse with some other cool universal accessories I found that I'm likely to swoop up (at least some of them):

Placed the order anyway, just to see. A couple of things were still in stock, but the out-of-stock/backordered items show up at full price...so, I already emailed Samsung to be sure that it's either fixed or cancelled.

I have a question about the Smart Dock. It says you can connect your external HD mice and keyboard. I couldn't really imagine myself doing this. Other than that it can connect to HD monitor/TV too, but I think I'd just get the MHL to HDMI adapter for $12...

And AllCast Wireless Hub is just like Apple TV right, except for my Note 2?

It's quite simple, go to www.ebay.com. Enter a search for "keyboard kickstand keychain"

Moving up from the GS3 to the Note II.

Some quick thoughts...

Saw the new Dock for the Note II. Very cool. However, I own the multimedia dock for the GS3 and supposedly, it is compatible with the Note II so unless there are significant advantages, I will stick with the current dock I own.

(Would love feedback on advantages of the Note II dock pictured above)

Also..

Hoping Seidio offers a Surface Case for the Note II. I own their Surface Case for the GS3 and it is an outstanding case. It is very low profile, thin enough for me to be able to fit the phone into the dock without removing it, and has a nice rubbery grip when holding.

If anyone knows of a case that fits that exact description above for the Note II I would gladly consider it.

I looked at the specs, basically you can use your note as a computer when hooking it up to HDMI out and keyboard/mouse.

I tried to add things to cart in the samsung store, but I get an error with a crashed website page. anyone else finding the same trouble? Maybe it's a sign i'm not supposed to buy it. I'm looking at the protective cover actually. Seems pretty durable. Worth it to me if its 50% off.

Anyone have any interesting uses for the TecTiles?

These 2 comments made me re-think my thoughts about the BT S-Pen. A phone that doesn't use the S-pen (GS3) has SVDO and a phone that uses the S-pen (Note 2) doesn't have SVDO. Somehow that just seems so odd to me.

The BT-Spen would be ideal for talking and surfing at the same time.
I don't want it just so I can talk and take notes.

Has anybody seen the BT S-pen anywhere for sale except ebay? I'm curious why it's not even on the Samsung website.

Avantronics Versatility: BT Audio Transceiver - Saturn

Bt-saturna review by Tom Piper

I continue to look for a more convenient and reliable way of connecting my many devices to my Macs and iOS devices. I’m still on a quest to get shorter cables and more versatile bluetooth connectivity.

Avantronics (www.avantree.com) has again come to my rescue with another really cool and handy device that improves my portability and functionality. They have a hugh collection of products to choose from (over 4 dozen from their 29-page catalog). This one is an upgrade of the Avantalk BTTC-200 Bluetooth Audio Transceiver that I previously reviewed.

The Avantree BTTC-200X Bluetooth Audio Transceiver with aptX Tech can both transmit and receive at the flip of switch. It handles stereo HD quality audio with a standard 3.5mm audio jack, providing plug-and-play with no additional software required. This clean design is very simple to use and allows your audio devices to send or receive stereo audio via Bluetooth wireless up to 30 feet away. It can turn my iPod, iPhone, iPad, TV, Bose and other amplified speaker systems into Bluetooth enabled audio devices. This includes sound from Bluetooth A2DP enabled mobile phones and all other A2DP enabled audio devices.

After charging it for the first couple hours with the included USB cable, I plugged the transceiver into my Apple iPod 4G nano (on wristband), turned the switch to transmit mode, and paired it to my Avantalk Jogger bluetooth headphones (pairing each to the other was simple without any codes or hesitation). The sound was crisp and clear, reliable up to over 30 feet away. After that, I plugged the transceiver into several other audio sources via the 1/8” standard cable (also included) with excellent results. Then, I switched it to receive mode, plugged the unit into my over-the-ear Pro Koss headphones, paired it to my iPhone 4S, and listened to great music with accurate depth and separation. It worked the same when I plugged the transceiver into my Bose surround-sound system . . . wonderful sound, simple one-button operation (on/off, pairing), plus the TX/RX switch.

The big advantage over the earlier model is the aptX Tech feature for great Bluetooth sound quality. It is advanced digital audio data reduction (compression) technology to enables the sound on the device to achieve CD quality during transmission and reception.

The price of this unit is $39.99 for the Avantree Saturn Bluetooth Audio Converter AdapterTransceiver at http://www.amazon.com/Avantree®-Bluetooth-Converter-Adapter-Transceiver/dp/B0085HOM4K. The full Avantree online store will be available soon at (Avantree Online Store - Buy Avantree Blluetooth and General Products and Accessories online).
