My brother got his S3 5 days before the in-store release. If we are going to get our Notes early, they need to ship Friday. I'm just not very optimistic....

My dad and I had to go to two different Verizons just to play with a real working DNA. The first VZW had not gotten it's shipment and the employees were waiting for the FedEx truck to come. The second VZW had one. It is a lot smaller than the N2 and the screen looks really nice, but it's not changing my mind. On the 27th my dad and I are going to upgrade.
I have to say, when I first heard about the Note 2, I was decidedly uninterested. I mean, who wants to lug around a tablet all day? But, after looking at it in the store, I have started to change my mind. It really isn't comically large, like I expected.
Currently, I am still using my Droid inc. I was pumped about the Motorola razr hd, but what a disappointment. I don't tend to buy new phones every 6 months, and I want the best hardware I can get. So far, the Note 2 is the only thing turning my head.
Personally, I don't care if I have to wait. I want the bugs worked out, before I buy.

Huh? Are we talking about same phone? Have had mine since att launch and absolutely zero "bugs". Unless you count being awesome a bug.
This may not mean anything, but my expected ship date just changed from "by 11/27/12" to "Not available at this time."
Since it still shows my order as received and in process, I am hoping it means that the date is not available because it is being changed to an earlier date.

That's why you have a Stylus . I have a feeling I'm going to get into fights with my bf because I'll pay more attention to my phone lol. Too bad no one else around me sees how amazing this phone is, there's no one to talk to about it

Lol morpeee. My gf was an android convert ever since our galaxy nexii last year. She loves her phone but I kinda wish it was a more solid model for her to have started on. Stock experience is great but the radios on VZW blow on our phones.

Really nice phone, nice display, nice form factor. I think it all beats the Note 2 personally, but bummer on the memory and battery. Also, many of the apps had a back bar on them. Guess it's because nothing is ready for true HD?

I personally think the ONLY thing it has on the GNII is the fact is has 1080p display.............though who really needs a 1080p display on a 5" phone? thats it! I dont see any other advantages to go with the DNA over the GNII not to mention I am not a fan of HTC at all ever since the incredible. I returned the incrdible within a week of purchasing it. I Liked nothing about it all! That is enough for me to never purchase a HTC phone again.

Are you up for being a consuelor? Haha I actually have a few more coming... It should be here around the same time as the phone or maybe earlier. It's the mercury slim cases, the reviews I heard for the case said they are good. Nice snug fit so I'm excited I'm a hoarder of cases in ever different color!

I'm still not sold on a case yet....I may still get the seidio extended battery for maximum juice. I know how the phone fares on non lte carriers...but I'm still worried about how well it will do on VZW

For the biggest company in us, and they cant get their radios to work semi descent, except in phones they totally have control over, seems to be some ....
The newest siii radio they shoved on us (4 of us that I know have siii) and we all now have dropped calls and call's that don't do thru now in semi weak areas, that only used to be weak areas, I have now switched my siii radio and to an older leak and it seems back to where it was.

I got one of my cases today and was so excited to put it on my note. I then realized I still have no phone
I just got my Sidio surface case with holster yesterday.
At least it has a cardboard cutout of a phone, but not as much fun as the real thing.
The good news is that the case feels very comfortable when attached to my belt. I was afraid that it would feel too bulky. So now just a few more days and I should have a real phone to play with.

I am so tired of checking this forum and this thread multiple times a day, hoping to find out that our phones are starting to ship. I actually got to the point where I just checked Sprint's coverage maps for 4G LTE....
Here's the deal - not a huge HTC fan (had the TBolt - and was the primary reason I got the SIII).
Between the 2 manufactures - IMHO - there is no comparison in build quality - HTC wins by a landslide. I'm actually really enjoying the SGIII - except (I can live with the build quality) is that the radio quality isn't up to what I really need (it pretty much is all over the place at work).
There's no question - the lack of expandable memory, and no replacement battery are 2 strikes against the DNA. I've seen a couple reviews (one here) that are very positive about the radios in Philly) where I work.
Does anyone know how the radios in the Note 2 stack up compared to the S3??

If your talking Verizon, we need to wait for release, cause Verizon radios seem to suck the most, most likely due to the fact that Verizon spends more time locking and branding these Samsung than trying to make perfect radios, maybe some is Samsung but Verizon is the biggest blame.

I live in Philly so I can tell you, don't look for LTE to kick in. We don't have it. As far as calls, I think the radio is great.
Data on the other hand is a joke.
Every once in a while I'm able to surf with speeds just a tad faster than dial-up but that only happens once in a blue moon.
I'm trying to hang in there waiting for LTE.
