Verizon will be last like usual, not getting my hopes up, most likely mid November, before thanksgiving.

I just hope we can get a 64 gig version off the bat.

I'll be jumping ship to Verizon after doing my due diligence on radio/3G4G LTE speed tests in my area. And getting the Note 2.

I'll admit, I was a little upset that the OP wasn't about a fixed date.

I CANNOT stand waiting for this phone. Probably because my HTC TB is on it's last legs and it's just a total POS at this point.

Verizon won't be out until after the holidays. I've been through the release of the Incredible, Thunderbolt, and Galaxy Nexus. You can see my history of dissapointment with verizon releasing devices timely to match their fellow competetors. I would be ok with always being the last to get new devices time after time if they would be honest with us and say why we are always late to the table.

I hope Verizon has it out before the holidays. Big Red is one holiday sale away from me cancelling my Sprint service and starting up with them.

I was... and am.. prepared to jump ship from Verizon to get a hold of a Note 2 64 GB. They better not screw this up. I'd rather stay put because they do have the superior network, but if they push me I have no problem moving back to AT&T.

It bothers me that we haven't heard anything since those photos with a Verizon logo plastered on the home button were released. That still better have been just a sticker or I will declare myself as having had my fill of Verizon's BS.

This is based on a previous record which can't be changed. I have no evidence that the Note 2 will be released after the holidays, I only speak from personal experience and opinion.

How about renaming this thread : Verizon Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread or something similar to this. This link is to the S3 thread, just wanted to use it as an example. That way folks have a better idea of the subject matter. Just a though.

I'll jump in on this wild ride. Why all the 64gb people? I'd think 32gb +64gb sd card would be good. I bet the 64gb is about $100 more.
If it's cheaper, I'll get the 64gb.

I think that's just par for the course. I mean we all want the car w/ the biggest engine, but at the end of the day do we really need it? To each his own I guess.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing - why not just get the smaller version but after some thought thinking about my iphone experience, I am opting to go with the higher gb version just to be safe:

1). I download some apps that take up massive amounts of data - ie, gogo mobile navigator which is a Korea turn by turn GPS navigator. It actually installs the entire map database locally so you can use it regardless of service. The database is 2.5 gigabytes. I also have the Garmin US one which also has a large database. That's like 5 GBs right there.

2). I also download some big games that are 1-2 GB.

3). I Take a lot of photos.

4). I load a lot of movies and Korean dramas onto my phone - you laugh about the movies which are 1-2 gb, but the dramas are 20-30 episodes long and can total 20-30 GBs in aggregate! Yeah I don't need to have all of them on there, but I'm lazy! And I could convert them to a lower rez to match the note an have smaller files - again, I'm lazy.

6) I don't know jack about rooting? This is probably noob of me but I'm guessing may be some complications changing apps to run off sd card vs internal memory? I kind of just want to let the programs install the way they were designed to be installed/run. Thoughts? Caveat - this will be my first android device.

One device to rule them all. I have 80 gigs of music (and growing) and want to just throw it all on just as I do with my iPod Classic. I've wanted to do that for several years now instead of picking and choosing within a limited amount of storage. Obviously I want plenty of headroom after that so a 64 GB SD Card with 16 or 32 GB internal isn't going to cut it. This is the first phone to offer the amount of space I've been wanting with only the iPhone coming close with the 64 GB model... and I wasn't about to go back to that hell.

Cloud services can't do it all, they are just supplementary.

OT Wangta how long does it take to convert the Korean dramas? There's a couple I wish to keep on my phone as well

I'm getting really impatient now. Seeing everyone else enjoy their Note 2 is making me downright jealous. I've already jumped the gun and ordered a case for it lol. If Verizon isn't smart again and releases really late I might just get the S3. I feel like I will regret it, darn my impatience!

Amazing how this device will be in T-Mobile stores in less than 48 hours & this Verizon prelease thread, you know the #1 network , is the deadest thread here in the Note 2 forum.

^^^^ No Kidding. I have an upgrade ready to be used. Don't think the RAZR Maxx HD is gonna have a big enough display. Like the S3 a lot, but wanted a bigger display than 4.7. Would buy the Note 2 immediately, and am very interested in the HTC DLX. VZ is just so sloooow to release the top phones it seems.

Good thing is we Verizon folks can go by T-Mobile on Thursday to feed our fix so to speak until we hear something ourselves.

I'm opting for the 64G as well. I do many nandroids and TiBus. Plus my phone is my camera. I have a 32G Gnex right now and it only has 5G left (with no music or movies stored on it!). I've had bad luck with samsung phones and 32gb class 10 cards. They always seem to corrupt on me. I don't want my backups corrupting so I'd rather use internal storage to be safe than sorry. I already ordered a sandisk 64G card from amazon's gold box yesterday, so I'm prepared if need be.

Yep, I store a lot of movies. Need that storage. Unfortunately that requirement has put a lot of GREAT phone off the list. Look at the LG Optimus G with 32gb fixed memory. Even at 32gb, one phone, forgot which, was down to 25gb after the OS and bloat. That isn't much storage. I use off line GPS also and maps take 3gb, 4gb music, a few big games take 4gb. Now you are down to 14gb. I have a library of HD movies that are at least 2gb if not more like 4.5-5gb each. Toss 4 movies on there and your done. I typically keep about 15 movies on my Droid X, but they are only 700-1.5gb each. The CPU cannot play higher bit rate movies. With these new quad core, S4 chips, I can now load my HD movies and a 32gb phone probably won't cut it.

I also went to Gold Box and got a 64gb. Great deal at $43.

I'm starting to worry that Verizon is just gonna give us the old "coming soon" release date at the event tomorrow..

I see so far no options for 16, 32, 64 gig models.

In that case I hope their all 64 gig with no other options

Samsung Galaxy Note II | Verizon Android Smartphone | Samsung Mobile

So looks like our Verizon Note 2 will be branded after all.

Honestly yes, on the front of the device at least, as there is no branding on the S3 front. No big deal really, but Verizon if this is true will be the only one w/ branding on the front of the Note 2. Oh boy....

Damn Verizon sucks! They just ruined a perfectly good phone! I'm going to TMO man! Unless they release at a decent time I'll stay on their network.
