That voice and data radio would be pretty sweet. I have LTE in my area so it won't be a huge concern unless I get into a spotty area. I guess one benefit to having Best Buy behind the curve is that any small issues have a chance to be addressed.
I would rather have an issue that can be fixed via an easy software update than the issue with the Iphone 5 which has that scuffgate problem which everyones complaining about at the moment. But Each phone has its own set of problems though I suppose
So I have an idea for a thread that I think would be pretty useful. If you've had an issue with the Galaxy Note II that you've solved, or even been unable to solve, post about it here, and I'll compile a list of solutions in this main thread.
Solved
Only keyboards are English, Spanish, and Korean
Problem: I would like a keyboard with *insert language here* but the only languages available out of the box are English, Spanish, and Korean.
Solution: The stock keyboard only has English, Spanish, and Korean downloaded, but you can actually go into Settings>Language and input>Samsung keyboard's cog and download additional languages for both standard input and handwriting. Quite a few languages are available, so if you speak another language besides English, Spanish, or Korean, check it out.
Somewhat solved
Folders in App Drawer won't sort correctly for Alphabetical grid
Problem: If you press the menu key while in the App Drawer, you can change the view type to "Customizable grid", "Alphabetical grid", and "Alphabetical list". Customizable grid and Alphabetical list both work fine, but Alphabetical grid has issues. If there are Apps inside of folders, they will not sort alphabetically, and if you delete an app, there will be a gap when that app used to be.
Partial solution: You can use AppZorter to rearrange your apps how you'd like them quickly, but there's a downside, in that you have to run it periodically, it won't just automatically keep your apps sorted.
Problem: By default, there are 5 shortcuts in the Notification Bar, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Sync, and Screen rotation. The only ones of those I'll ever use are Wi-Fi and Screen rotation. I'd like a way to be able to replace the other 3 with more useful shortcuts.
Standard vibrations for notifications are really long
Problem: I'd like the vibration that happens when I get a text, facebook popup, etc. to be shorter. You can change the vibration pattern for your ringtone in the settings, but that doesn't change the notifications vibration.
Stock browser loads websites incorrectly
Problem: Websites are not always the correct size when loaded on the stock browser, requiring them to be manually resized.

The vibration pattern can be altered in the Handcent SMS app. To be honest the stock app never did have alot of features throughout the Galaxy range. I always use Handcent although there are others out there too.
Anyone managed to find a way of getting the stock browser to resize properly as virtually every web page I go on needs to be manually resized even with the resize option checked in settings.
A way of making it stay in desktop view by default would also be nice.
My only complaints are stock browser doesnt resize pages as its supposed to and I find the fact that I always have to switch to desktop mode irritating, it should have a default desktop setting.

I use Dolphin browser. Works real well and resizes. I also don't understand people who are upset about the no voice and data on 3g? It's so slow it barely does data by itself. Just pray for lte to rollout quickly. Hopefully sprint isn't sparing any expense since they're getting $20 billion from soft bank next year.

Man. I had asked about dual voice and data awhile ago, and most people confirmed it would be fine on 4G LTE for sprint and Verizon (however, not on 3G).
I don't really see what you're talking about. I use either Chrome or Dolphin HD most the time, so I'm never in the stock browser, but I just fired it up and loaded a few web pages and they load fine for me. It's possible that it could be the web page itself that's screwed up. Can you give us some examples?
As for staying in Desktop view, switching to another browser, like Dolphin HD, would fix this right up for you, as well as add in a ton of other nice features.

I know what you mean but its not just this phone that does it, my S2 was the same. I use Opera mate, double tap the page and it resizes perfectly. I remember the HTC's were good for this on stock browsing.
Yes it works but I have come from an htc where once you have chosen desktop mode it then stays in it rather than having to reselect it on every new tab you open.

No point in giving examples as it is the same on every new web page I open, looks like I had better start looking at new browsers which is something I have never felt the need to have to bother with before.

He means the web page doesn't load in proportion to the screen. If you double tap it still needs resizing to fit the screen properly. As I said before its not just this phone that does this, I think it's a Samsung thing for sure.
As far as the stock browser showing websites incorrectly, what worked for me on my Infinity was click on "Request Desktop" and then refreshed the page. Now the page displays normally.
Other browsers that are out already display pages normally, so this part really isn't a big issue.

It's more than likely anything that has gotten updated to Jellybean, not just a Samsung thing. My Asus Transformer Infinity also did this and I fixed it in my post above.
Not to say that will work on all devices, but worth a try.
^ This would be better served in the accessory thread.
On another note, one of the things I don't like about "issue" threads is instead of figuring out how STOCK can be fixed it's always suggested to use something else which sort of defeats the purpose of fixing anything.
To the OP, it's good you started this--don't get me wrong but as someone else said, there is already an issue thread; why do we need 2?

That's because STOCK most-often SUCKS! lol There's always something better out there, hence why we have an app store in the first place.

LOL! I'm starting to enjoy the stock experience. I feel with each better phone certain apps just get better. No, they're not all perfect so the app store will certainly not loose any customers.
While I wouldn't quite say the stock experience sucks. I would say that in most cases, there are third party applications that do the job of stock applications WAY better. For example, the stock browser doesn't really suck, it works perfectly fine for browsing the internet, however, browsers like Dolphin HD have many more plugins and nice features that making browsing the internet even better.

Is anyone else having trouble enabling auto-correct? My phone will not correct simple miss-spellings and it won't change youre -> you're. Pretty simple things here. They have to have auto correct on the Note II right? They wouldn't sell a phone built around taking notes, and not include auto-correct... would they?

On my setup I have the suggested words to use just above the keyboard, so if I type a mistake or join two words by mistake for instance the options are there to correct it. I prefer this much more than my ipad which would auto correct and sometimes put in the wrong words.
I pre-ordered from Verizon so I don't have the GN2 yet. I was just wondering if anybody that has the phone has eiter found a browser that does this or a workaround.
Announced at IFA 2012, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 follows its predecessor with a focus on creativity. The device improves the experience by adding more S-Pen functionality and new-generation specs, not to mention the slightly larger 5.5-inch display... Read More
