i saw something interesting while on the phone and wanted to share right away. i could not turn on the camera while i'm on the phone. so i tested other features to see what i can't do while i'm on the phone. it turns out that you can't play music as well although you can stream from youtube. really, i just want to snap a picture while i'm on the phone and not have to hang up to snap a picture. I had an HTC Evo 4G LTE and this feature was available. it would be nice to if this was available for Galaxy Note 2.

Actually, considering there are settings that can be changed in the firmware, it could be in the root section since custom roms and mods have already enabled the functionality, and that requires root.

oh.. I have not gotten the phone yet..
but from your response.. i can assume that it does not do these things out of the box.
so, with root there is a solution to enable the phone to: while on a call
1. take pictures
2. share your music and recorded audio files. both listen to the same thing while the 2 individuals talk about it?
can you provide a link to the mod?

Not sure if the mods are broken out separately. I think I remember a link for them somewhere, but they are incorporated into some of the custom roms. You can peruse this forum and check out the different roms. The Jellybomb one definitely has it. Don't have time to go through and see if a link to the individual mods was posted.

The radio setup on the sprint gn2 doesn't allow svdo (voice and data on 3g). That's different than this topic.
The whole music on the phone thing doesn't make sense. If you're listening to music and a call comes in, the music stops and resumes when the call is done. I don't know of any phone that will let you continue to listen to music. You'll just have to learn to like the crap they play when you're on hold. I think it'd be a bit much for it to know what audio pipeline you want while you're on a call or expect it to be able to juggle them appropriately.
Do you know another phone that can do this? I like to think I'm pretty knowledgeable, so if there is, please enlighten.
