Read my post above. Your status may stay in processing even after it's shipped. It could take 48 hours after it ships to update the status. Most people that got overnight shipping should have their phones tomorrow.

Id be only slightly upset if the phone arrived BEFORE I was emailed a courtesy Fedex tracking number.

I just rechecked - nothing has changed, still says "Pending Shipment", and no new charges on my VISA card either.

Same here. I would expect we would have been notified of a delay. I think everyone was watching the election and not processing orders.

Hmm no change on mine or charge to my credit card. I will just go to bed and hope I have a phone in the morning. Doesnt bother me if it gets delayed but if I have paid for overnight and I get it the same time as everyone else does I will be unhappy... was already unhappy I paid the upgrade fee (didnt want to deal with a csr so my fault). Happy stalking fellow orderers.

Well it is 3am in CA, no charge on my credit card, no shipping e-mail and no updated order status (but they did say it can take 24-48 hours for the order to show shipped. I'm hoping they shipped and the online system is just slow. I do remember it took at&T like 1/2 day to authorize my card. Worse case, if it does not ship by Thursday night, I'm going to cancel my order and walk into an AT&T store when then open on Friday.

I intend in doing the same thing. Not sure why i didn't to begin with. I live right next door to an att store.

Well a really good sign; just went on the AT&T site 3:27am PST 11/7, selected to pre-order the Note 2 and it says "Orders are scheduled to ship on November 7, 2012." If that is try then they still have some and ours shipped out. Today is going to be a very, very long day

As a side note, at my work the system updates that an order has shipped at 6:30 PM. If somehow the order shipped after 6:30 PM, it will not update "shipped" until 6:30pm the following businessday. I'm hoping that the phones shipped and it was just too late and we will see an update tonight. And when we get our tracking numbers see that they will arrive tomorrow

No they did not. Pre orders made on the 7th cannot ship on the 6th. That is for pre-orders made now.

Yesterday up until 8pm PST (when I last checked) it said pre-orders will ship on the 6th. They changed the main page this morning to say pre-orders [I assume they mean orders placed today (11/7)] will ship on the 7th. Since that changed refering to new orders placed today; that is a very good sign that the phone is not on back order

So woke up today with no box. Called AT&T to ask what's up and this is from a csr so take it with a big grain of salt but could be on back order even though the website doesn't show it. If its not moving by tomorrow I'm just canceling my preorder and doing an in store purchase(called and local stores should already have them in).

I miss the apple preorder. If you got your preorder in very close to when they opened the preorder up the day they said it would be in your hands was when it was there. Often times you would get a tracking number and find it being held at FedEx/ups so it doesn't get delivered a day early but no chance of it being delivered late.

Just called AT&T spoke to a rep she said that she checked the warehouse inventory and it stated they were waiting for a replenish order. What are they replenishing? No orders best we can tell have been shipped. I think there was a delay. Hopefully they expect the shipment today and that's why the site now shows the 7th.

I'm hoping this agent is wrong (becasue she responded to the last questions very quickly) and only going off the online website status, but here is the online conversation I just had with AT&T about 10 minutes ago. I apologize if this freaks anyone out, but this is not good news for me

With AT&T - its Dealers and Best Buy first - pre-existing customers doing "pre-orders" last.

Seems I'll have a better chance of getting a Note 2 sooner if I simply call my local AT&T store daily

Then return or refuse shipment of the fedex package.

The pre-orders are simply a ruse for AT&T management to gauge demand, and budget a forecast of future bulk orders.

Thats my take on the situation.

I think our best bet is to keep checking to see if they withdraw the money.

Just got off the phone with Premier support and they're saying the phones are scheduled to SHIP on 9th, to be received by the 12th. I placed my order on 10/27, so if that's the case I'll be cancelling tomorrow and staying with Sprint. This experience has given me a taste of what AT&T's customer service is like, and I must say I'm extremely disappointed.

I just called too (again) I was told they are on back order but they are still saying I will receive it on the 9th. Who knows what's going on because AT&T doesn't.

I have tons of shipping experience from Amazon. If they really shipped on the 9th you would not receive it unil the 13th unless they overnighted every order.

Also, for what it's worth my local store just said they physically have the phones but can't sell 'em till Friday. I think I'm just going to cancel my preorder.

Not sure if these delays are good/bad thing for me. I opted not to preorder and will try and get one from an AT&T store on launch day. If AT&T is having issues with the preorders then I'm curious to know what impact that has on the retail supply? My initial guess is that I'll be having to wait a little longer to get my Note 2.

Maybe at&t is trying to pull the apple card. "We might have some in stock" when they have tons in store to build up hype.

Can your really cancel your pre-order? I didn't know that they would let you. If it can be done, I might do so and just pick mine up on Friday morning at a local AT&T store.

Ok finally I feel I got to a competent supervisor. I was speaking with a rep I asked for his super and then I eventually asked for his supervisor.

Here is what the 3rd level supervisor said, he said there was no backorder, he even said there's around 22,000 pre orders. He expects them to go out today but of course he continually repeated this is just estimated and it's a first come first serve. I mentioned 22,000 didn't seem high enough to warrant a backorder unless Samsung really screwed up and he agreed.

Just got this from a CSR in customer care:...

"I have located the order. I do apologize; however, I see that we have sold out of the device and are waiting for additional inventory. I am sorry about that. Unfortunately, we do not have an anticipated delivery date as inventory levels vary from day-to-day. You will receive an e-mail from us when your item has shipped."

When asked if I could cancel the order to pick up in store if I do not receive it by friday the CSR responded with....

"I understand your concern. You are welcome to call in to have the order cancelled, so that you can purchase the device in the store. To have the order cancelled, you may contact one of our Product Specialists on 866-267-4510, 8:00 AM - Midnight Eastern Time, 7 days a week. "

well you know they can't be sold out if on ones received any.

A rep said to me they will see no inventory because it technically hasn't launched yet.

I had a short conversation today with the manager of my local AT&T Store (Central California Coast /San Luis Obispo)

They said they are expected to get a 1st batch of Galaxy Note 2's later this week. They did confirm nothing has arrived yet and nothing is in "hidden stock - to only be released Nov 9."


The positive piece of news is that I got a confirmation that AT&T will email each of us with pre-orders a FEDEX Shipment Tracking Number immediately when the phone leaves the Texas Warehouse.

So I'll try to calm down, and hopeully in 24 hours I'll have a tracking number from AT&T in my inbox.
