Syncing Gmail

Hi,
I, for the life of me, cannot figure out how to get my GMail to sync, but not the contacts or anything else.
Currently, everything is on Sync Disabled. Is there a way to sync only my Gmail?

I mean autosync.
I would prefer not to have to remember to sync my gmail account every hour or so.

You should be able to do this either in settings in the gmail app or in settings in the Samsung email app. Just click on your gmail account and the menu button and it will give you the settings menu.
