The Samsung Note 2 has a quad-core processor and is capable of writing to and reading from the memory card very fast. A class 10 is the fastest speed card available right now. By getting something other than a class 10, you handicap the speed of your shiny, new device. It will work, but not at it's peak performance.
Essentially, you just bought your new Note 2 a helmet and called it "special". Just a little slower than the rest...
