Default Settings question

When I had my S3 there was a feature I really liked and was wondering if the Note 2 has it.

The feature was when I picked up my phone off my desk, it would vibrate if I had a missed call or message.

Can someone help me out?

Yes. It's in Settings, Motion, Smart Alert.

I had it selected but it doesn't work as much as it did on my S3.
