Just like the title says, I unboxed it and texted a few people to test it out. Went perfectly. Started talking to a friend and suddenly it stopped sending texts. It just gives me the red exclamation mark and says it failed. I can still get texts from him, though.

I've tried restarting the phone, other than that, not sure what to do.

Just tried sending a text to my fiancé and it says it failed, so now I can't text anyone.

Help?

WTF now it doesn't even ring when I call it.

EDIT: Called Verizon, they tried calling it but it didn't ring. Then they had me make an outgoing call and it magically worked. So they called to verify that it received calls, and it did. Then I sent a text and that worked. So I dunno wtf happened, but whatever, everything works again.

Maybe it was a problem with Verizon's network and your call to them fixed it.

It may have been a problem on their end with the number not transferring/registering with the phone properly. They will tell you it is at your end while slyly fixing it at theirs.
