Default Finally! Today is the day!

After much grumpiness on my part due to USPS taking 2+ days to drive a box 3 hours down the road, my Note 2 is out for delivery today. Hopefully I can pick it up at the post office right after work.

Glen Burnie. Hopefully they're a little better than the Silver Spring Post office. I once had a package listed as "Out for Delivery" for 4 days. Idiots. But since your package is out for delivery, it'll be home before you leave work most likely.

Yeah it should've been here by now but they're the USPS so it's to be expected. I'll be getting it today regardless of if they tried to deliver it or not cause I'll go to the post office and take care of bidness.

Always, always go w/UPS (and amazon if possible, got to love "Prime" )...especially when the package is coming out of the Laurel center. Ordered something for my friend in LA last night (was after 10pm EST) from amazon, paid $3.99 for Pime member 1-day delivery, and it was delivered today...less than 24 hrs :screwy:

It was from eBay so I didn't get to choose how it was sent, otherwise I would've gone UPS or something similar. USPS was a complete disaster.

Anyways I picked up my Note 2 from the post office last night. Such a cool device! I put my 64GB card in it and activated it on the T-Mobile prepaid $30 a month plan. It didn't automatically install all my apps like the Nexus 4 did, but that's no big deal. It's not as smooth as the Nexus either, but it's still pretty smooth overall. It has so many settings to go through and fiddle with it's pretty exciting. The sound quality is much better than the Nexus 4, which is one of the main reasons I got this device, for music, so I'm very happy. I only got like 3 or so hours with it last night cause my fiance and I went out for Valentine's Day so I'll get more time in with it tonight and give more thoughts.

Funny you guys mentioned disliking USPS because I actually prefer USPS/Fed Ex over UPS. Aside from UPS not delivering on the weekend, I've had way too many horror stories with UPS.

Congrats, Jun! Glad you finally got it.

I am pretty sure it depends on where you live. All you need is one idiotic person locally to make you hate a particular carrier.
I've been lucky with UPS here, but where I used to live it was like a whole 'nother company; FedEx went from great to only fair after I moved.
USPS has always been my last choice but sometimes they surprise me.

So after spending more time with the Note 2 I can tell it's a bit laggier than the Nexus 4, which I'm still using as well. I also am using a custom wallpaper that I set up using Perfect Viewer and the Gallery app and it still redraws it a few times anytime I go to the home screen, which kinda sucks, but I can deal. I'm still getting used to the navigation buttons being arranged differently than the Nexus as well, but that's also not a big deal.

I love having my S-Pen back (I had the Note 1 for 6 months or so) and airview is just great. I enjoy being able to draw on things, and the clipboard is really handy too. Like I said before the audio from the headphone jack is sooooo good, especially compared to the Nexus 4. I'm also enjoying S-Voice. I've been using it to turn on and off wifi, even though it's easier to just do it from the notification pulldown. It's just super neato. Also the (I forget what they call it) feature where the phone is on the table and you hold your hand over the sensor and it shows you any missed calls/texts etc is badass. I'm very certain that I have the two best Android devices on the market right now. If you want buttloads of cool features the Note 2 is just the best of the best, and if you want the smoothest most polished Android experience then the Nexus 4 is just plain it.
