I hardly use my ipad these days as my note 2 has completely replaced it.. Really a great phone-tablet....
I don't blame you. iPads are nice devices, but the size of the Note 2 seems like a great compromise, plus it's a phone, etc, even my Tab 2 7" sits idle most of the time now.
This is the exact reason I have a Note II coming Monday. I have the S3 but also wanted a tablet. I figured this would satisfy my needs on both fronts and it will save me money as well. I cannot wait to get it!!!!!
Even my note 10.1 has been forgotten since I got my note 2 lol. I don't know if I'm lucky or not yet but I work at a school that is issuing all staff with ipads after easter so I'll be the gadget lady lol
I bought both the N2 and N10.1at the same time. I wished I just bought the phone as I only use my tablet to view Netflix and Hulu while in the bedroom.
I guess it depends on the user. At home, if I'm not using my desktop, I'll use the Note 10.1 only because of the larger real estate. It's better using it with the S Pen and notes than the smaller screen I find. Also opening and viewing multi-windows is much better on the 10.1, than the Note 2.
I'm probably getting equal time between the two now. I even have the Note 2 accompany my Note 10.1 at home when doing some assignments. Using the window of the Note 2 with multi-windows in 10.1. Note taking, reviewing, etc. Sometimes I'll do the same when on my desktop. Note 10.1 as a notebook and Note 2 close by.

Not me - I use my Ipad all the time. When I'm reading books and playing games the screen size of the Ipad is a definite plus. Ok, the Note 2 has a good-size screen, but nothing like the Ipad. I use the phone when I'm at work/on the road, and the Ipad when I sit down to read a book or play a game. Each device has its purpose. I wouldn't give up my note for anything (at least until the Note 3 comes out!), but I wouldn't give up the bigger screen size of my ipad for anything, either!

I'm addicted to the S-Pen and the Note form factor. So much, that I'm actually going to get the Note 8 tablet (once it's formally released...Samsung is lagging on releasing that thing for sale).
To me, the Note 2 provides a great option on the go and when I'm out and about, but I want the bigger Note 8 for note taking purposes and a portable tablet to use while watching TV at home (cpu is connected to big screen for use when I want to stream a video).

As I read this post I was gonna leave the exact reply. Another reason I haven't gone full N2 is that the wifi unit is not as good as my ipad 3. But I am thinking about getting the new Sony Xperia Z tablet as a graduation gift in May.
I still use my iPad 2 for watching movies. Yes the note 2 screen is big for phone, but I still don't think it is big enough for wafching movies in bed. Plus the fact that I don't i have stand for it, so I would have to hold it the entire time I watched a movie. I will say when I go to watch a review or something on YouTube the note 2 is perfect. Overall my iPad still gets used just much less than before.

Get a case that has a stand, like Bestbuy's Platinum case with stand. I love the case!
I got my Note 2 then and Nexus 7, I feel bad, I hardly ever touch the N&, I love it when I use it, but my phone is always handy.
Yup, same here...N7 to my son. I can tell you that Note 2 is far superior to N7 in display quality and CPU/GPU speeds! No wonder everyone craps on Tegra 3 processors!
I think all tablets be it android or apple have their purposes. For me, my phone is ideal when I'm out but at home I prefer to do the same things on a much larger screen.
Samsung cant release the Note 8 fast enough.
I bought a Galaxy Note 10.1.....then got the GN2, I loved the GN2 so much that I returned the Note 10.1 and bought a new Lenovo Ideapad Yoga laptop. I also have a Galaxy Tab 2, but it rarely gets turned on anymore. I kinda hope the Note 3 goes to a 6" screen...
Announced at IFA 2012, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 follows its predecessor with a focus on creativity. The device improves the experience by adding more S-Pen functionality and new-generation specs, not to mention the slightly larger 5.5-inch display... Read More
