Default T Mobile users Uk

Anyone in the Uk give me some input on service, general coverage etc as I'm looking to move from O2, they just won't budge on price.
Also are the T Mobile handsets locked.
Thanks

Unless you buy unbranded or from Carphone Warehouse/Phones 4U etc, 99% of network handsets are network locked.

I'm not TMobile, but Orange and as they share a signal now (calling themselves EE), they cover most of the UK and I've always found signal strength to be pretty good.

Coverage varies depending on where you are, so you need to check the coverage map for where you're likely to use your phone:

I used to be on O2, then on T-Mobile, now on 3. The service was about the same on each; 3 gives me slightly better coverage than T-Mobile did for the areas I spend most time in.

I get good service where I live - Crawley, West Sussex but when I'm in London, I sometimes struggle with my signal. Their Customer Service can be hit and miss but...when it comes to upgrading deals, I've found them to be very good.

Their handsets are locked and they charge 15 to unlock it after a certain amount of time.

This ongoing 'best sim only deals' on UK Hot Deals is something to keep an eye on. The OP updates it weekly on Page 1 of the 165 page thread!

Thanks for your input, took out a 24 month tarrif with 500 mins/unlimited texts/unlimited data for 27 squid, phone cost 29.
I phoned O2 (my current/last provider) and they offered nothing under 30 so I got the Amber Brown Note 2 from Phones 4 U and when I got back home and phoned O2 for a PAC code, they offered me the same deal lol, would have saved me some time but its all done now and there are no cooling off periods in store at Phones 4 U so I am now an EE customer
Edit the phone is also unlocked and unbranded, cool.
