Default Anybody worked out how to view S Note backup files in Windows?

I sync my S Note folder and keep a backup on my PC and it would be really nice if there was a way I could actually view them on the PC.
I can save them all as PDFs but that seems like a lot of extra steps and means the note is "frozen".
So far I can't find a way.
Anybody know how?

I've read you can rename the file extension to .zip and extract the files.

Tachko,
I can't find any Windows application that can open a file with .snb extension!
It seems kind of crazy that Samsung would create a new type of document without any way to view the document except on the device that created it.
Kind of useless to most people if they don't have a Samsung to view the file on.
