Default Walmart Straight Talk Sim on a Verizon Note 2?

I see ads for Walmart StraightTalk. Does anyone know if I can use a StraightTalk SIM in my Verizon Note 2 after my contract is up? It would sure be nice to save some money for a change.

Thanks!

Default Can I use my Verizon Note 2 with a less expensive provider?

I guess my question really is, can I use my Verizon Samsung Note 2 with another mobile provider when my contract is up? I would like to lower my costs. Is there a "best way" to do this?

Thanks!

I currently use Verizon Note 2 on Straight Talk. I have honestly had no issues using it with Straight Talk. I will say one thing. Do not expect the speeds to be as fast as Verizon but they are fast enough for you to watch a HD youtube Video with any issues.

Yes, as long as it is carrier unlocked.

Check out aio wirless.
40 bucks a month for 2gb high speed.
70 for 7gb

8mbps lte cap, but I think thsts fast enuff since throttle speed on aio wirless is 256kbps as opposed to strsight talks 0.2kbps

My roomate hates how fast my throttle is compared to his.

Its an att mvno carrier.

I'm not very informed on some of this stuff. My Note 2 is currently under contract with Verizon. What does "carrier unlocked" mean specifically? How is this accomplished?

Thanks for helping the "phone challenged"!

It means being able to swap carriers.

Verizon will give u an inlock code after u are not on contract any more.

U may also haft to switch to a gsm rom or have them change ur antenna into gsm mode.

I have used gsm roms on other verizon phones to get them on att or tmobile or straight talk, ect.

AIO website shows $55 for the 2GB high speed option

They had one a while ago that if you brough your own unlocked gsm device or att locked [I do not know for a fact on att locked but "seems legit" as aio is an att mvno carrier] you could get the third month free.

I dont know what they got going on right now other than the free zte prelude.

Yes free phone on prepaid.

Even though they are more expensive, the fact that their throttle is much higher bandwidth makes it to me worth the money.

Also, no bs involving teathering.
And anarchy online will run on my phone, two logins on throttle.

My roomates has the I.p address for anarch online blocked it would seem. He has straight talk

WHen I asked Verizon about unlocking my Note 2, I was told that all 4GLTE phones are unlocked.

FOr those that are on Straight Talk with the Note 2, I ask, how did you get the data working since I don't believe we can modify the Access Points, or did it just work?

If your verizon phone has a sim card slot. Like the Verizon rezound I modded. There should be a gsm rom for your phone with all available apn menues ect. [Least there was for the rezound, and the inspire 2]

Ok, so I would need to root the phone, then it could go over?

You dont necessarily need to be rooted. But it will make it easier.

The gsm rom will be pre rooted but you can remove that.

Just flash a custom recovery using fast boot or odin depending on your phones make and then flash the gsm rom. Follow the directions and make backups.

That is if there is a gsm rom for your verizon phone.

After that you can unroot the rom if you wish.

Aio Wireless drops prices, increases data allotments - http://pulse.me/s/MtwJT

Although if you are like me and started on the pro plan with 7gb data, you keep it till you change it. But still pay $70.

I just got ST working on my note2. The APN's are not modifiable with a stock ROM. I was rooted with Beanstown ROM. What I did was I installed APN manager pro. I followed this How to Turn Rooted Verizon Galaxy Note 2 into a World SIM Phone! | Galaxy Note 2 Root!

It took me about 5 minutes to get it working. Its showing h+ right now.
