Default What Would you Like to See in the Note 3?

So Plain and Simple what Would you Like to See in the Note 3 That's in not in any phone now or that was not in the Note 3?

I have the Galaxy S4 now and I know that from what this phone has, there gonna add some feature to the Note 3 like the IR Blaster and Motion Features.
Also things like a Better screen Resolution and Maybe a better battery. now we all know that they're gonna up the specs but is there anything that you think they can add that would make this the best of 2013?

Also what do you think 5.99 Inch Screen or 6.3?

Rumored Leaked Photos of the Galaxy Note 3!

Good question. I do like the idea of the screen growing just a little bit more.. perhaps 6 ("5.99").

Not much else.. it's the best Android device I've ever had.

That might fatten the device a bit.

Thin is nice, but being able to use it all day without battery issues would be better. If I have a vote, I would say give it the Razr Maxx treatment. But then, Samsung seems to be a big believer in "Just in time" battery life, so I don't see it happening.

They already gave Razr Maxx treatment to Note 2 battery. It's 3100mah and removable. I'm sure they will bump up the battery capacity a bit in Note 3.

As someone dying to leave the iphone for a couple years now after using it for 5 years, i have tried every major Android phone out over the last two years. The only one that really impressed me was the Note 2. I am waiting for the Note 3 or possibly the HTC Butterfly S if it comes to Verizon in one form or another(DNA 2 or whatever)

But anyway..The Note 3 needs for me to stick with it..

1. A brighter screen than the S4(I would say the Note 2, but the S4 sets the AMOLED brightness bar now) Still, the S4's screen is not nearly as bright as the Iphone or HTC IPS displays, but they are catching up. Hopefully the Samsungs next gen screen are even brigther.

2. Camera - the Note 2's camera was pretty crappy IMO. I had the S3 and the iphone 5 with me along with the Note 2 and it was by far the worst of the

3. Battery life of course, but whatever, fix the first two things and im in

I like all the ideas above, but for me I would really like to see at least 32GB of internal memory. No more 16GB devices from Samsung. This makes no sense to me to have such a big screen and you can't even take advantage of it with such low internal memory. Hopefully they learned their lesson from the S4.

I'd love to see the Galaxy Mega as the template for the N3, in terms of size anyway. The GM would be an awesome upgrade right now, if not for the 2nd tier internal specs.

Its finally been two years since my last phone (Galaxy Nexus) and its time to do this all over again!!

I was thinking the other day how awesome it would be if these larger phones worked with other protocols like Zwave and the others. Everyone, even at home has their cell in their pocket so what better controller for your TV (IR blaster like the S4), your home heater, AC/heater, and what ever else you have on your wifi / z wave network. I really think companies should start focusing on phones allowing us to control more stuff at home and in our lives. I tried my wife's new s4 with the WatchOn app and it has too many issues to use unfortunately.

On a side note as a previous car mechanic, would be awesome to be able to hook my phone up to the OBD2 port of a car and pull the check engine codes and diagnose issues.

Of course, the most important feature is to actually work as a phone but since these phablets are getting bigger, hope there is some room in there to toss in some goodies.

My brother was just showing me his set up the other day on the fly. We were driving back from a major league ball game and his car threw a check engine code. He plugged in a small Bluetooth enabled adapter into the OBDII port on the car and then turned on his phone started up Bluetooth and GPS then the application Torque Pro.
It was giving an on the fly readout of alot of "live" information without a wired connection. It has an area for diagnostics and code reading. He was able to read the code and clear it all while driving (not recommended to clear codes while moving as it can turn off the engine or reset all your important in dash displays). It was cool to see all of this take place in a matter of like 5 mins.
It was just an o2 sensor that has been repeatedly giving him fits.

It made me really want to get one of the Bluetooth enabled adapters. Turns out they are pretty affordable too - as low as like $15. (they don't work in all vehicles)

This is the first time I have ever used this say, "throws money at screen!"

I had a Cobb tuning access port OBDII reader and it was awesome for mods and stuff, but it was costly. This is an awesome product as caring around a MODIS or any real scanner is a pain in the ass. They are big, heavy, and just not that intuitive (unless they have made newer ones as I worked on cars years ago). I will have to look into this, thanks for the link and info!

Everything I'd like to see physically, is not likely to be on the Note 3 (was hoping for flexible/folding phone/tablet screen, like the mock videos they made).

I would like to see forward facing speakers. A battery equal to or greater than the GN2 battery would be a plus.

Better battery is by far the biggest thing for me, I could live with extra thickness to accommodate that. Better camera would be nice too. My Note can feel a bit laggy at times, would be nice if it was a little more responsive.

New rumor only suggests they might have 2 versions with 1 having flexible screen, but not like the mock videos where it flips open to a tablet size or rolls out to tablet.

We will see though. September will creep up fast.

new reports sugest a 5.7 inch display which makes me think they're gonna do a repeat with the GS4 and make the bezel smaller and keep the phone the same size while having a bigger screen

Saw that, but like I said, nothing suggests they will be making a device like the mock video they did that had devices that were convertible from smaller phone screen to tablet size.

This HAS to happen for sure. Very good point. This is one of the hardest things I've had to adjust with going back and forth between my Note 2 and Note 8. When I use my Note 8 for an extended period of time, I find myself trying to use the S-pen on the capacitive buttons on the Note 2 and my first thought is, "oh no, I have to get my phone fixed"...LOL.

Hope to see an I-R Blaster on this.
If so, I'll more than likely sell/trade-in the ONE to BEST BUY & pick this up.

I like the ONE, but,an RMA w/HTC for BLUETOOTH/call quality issues isn't playing out to my satisfaction. My last hope is a warranty claim w/BB for a new handset. If that doesn't resolve my BT/call quality issues, getting the NOTE 3 (w/I-R Blaster) is a no-brainer/foregone conclusion.

Didn't realize you were having issues with the One! I would be surprised if they didn't add one considering the note 8 has one and the s4

Not to get too far off-topic, but, yes, B/T-Call quality issues on the T-Mobile HTC One since day one. Benchtesting of my phone shows no defect. Real world use proves otherwise.
So, basically, if they (HTC) don't pony up a replacement, I'll warranty if out w/BEST BUY.

HTC ONE Call quality concerns

Perhaps I'll get lucky again w/BB:
No HTC ONE's (T-Mobile) in stock & they'll offer a "RAPID EXCHANGE" for a phone of equal value (GN3). That's how I got my SGS3 when I warrantied out my PHOTON, w/$0 out-of-pocket.

It's been reported by a few Android news outlets, but just in case you all didn't see those articles:

Hmmm...
Does this patent hint at Galaxy Note III’s design? | SamMobile

Some of the comments at the bottom of the article have people suggesting that maybe they're creating an "active" version of the Note 3? I would not mind that, but I'd bet it would be a carrier exclusive.

As for the actual Note 3 design, even if it followed the same lines, that actually does look quite nice and thin.

Great, I wasn't really anxious about the 9/4 event, but now I kinda am!

I'm cool with that, the phone fits perfectly in my big hands. I just want an HD screen, equal to pr better battery life than the Note 2, a better processor, and all of the S4 features.

Some great new S-pen features and a better camera would be icing on the cake, but Samsung will have to royally screw up for me not to get this phone.

For me, I'd just like to see some of the stuff from the s4. Like all playing the same song together, the sound on photos etc. I'm pretty easy to please ^_^;

I personally have never had any issues with battery on my Note 2. I can usually go a whole day without having to charge. I did purchase an extra battery off of ebay when I bought my phone and carry it around with me incase the phone dies and I can just switch out the dead battery for the charged one, but I've only had to do this once in several months.

A really cool feature for the note 3 could be a flexible screen. I also don't find the need to use my s pen often and a few more apps that allow the use of the pen would be nice.

I had mentioned earlier that, until Samsung releases a flexible screen phone/tablet like the one they had in their mock video, anything added to what the Note 2 already brought to the table, would just be a bonus, for me. That said, I was thinking about the things that would really make me strongly consider getting the Note 3 and added another to my original list:

1) Minimum 32gb internal storage w/ microSD slot
2) Same overall physical form factor (or smaller)
3) Wireless Charging, out of the box (added this)

The only real element that I was missing on the Note 2 (and hoping would be offered) is a 32 or 64gb version. The fact that the 32 and 64 were limited to Korea and certain European countries was a real disappointment for me. I wasn't that disappointed in there being no wireless charging, out of the box, since I could technically get it working with modification, but I'd much rather have that functionality without having to tinker with the physical aspects/elements of the phone.

I've said many times that the Note 2 was the biggest I could go. There are even times that part of me wishes the overall size were a little smaller. But if I could finally have a phone that would have enough storage for all my needs, that would be ideal. I'd still prefer to get a 64gb version w/ the microSD slot, but I'd settle for the 32, if that's all they offered in the US. I've already determined that 16gb is definitely not enough for my needs on internal storage space.

Okay, if Sammobile is right and there's a 64gb offering of the Note III, I am definitely upgrading!

For the me the Galaxy Note 2 was the first real Android phone after trying all the flagships multiple times over the last 3yrs to really keep my attention.

In the end though...

1 - Screen sucked outside as usual with AMOLED displays, The S4 was better than the S3 and G2 but i returned it for the same reasons pretty much. Hopefully the Note 3 has an upgarded AMOLED display thats brighter.

2. The camera..it needs to be as good or better than the S4, if any worse I won't be able to deal with it. The S4 is good in daylight, but not good in low light. An upgraded camera would be very nice.

Thats about it, the S-Pen is one of the main reasons for wanting it. It comes in very handy for wiring diagrams and such

What smartphone cameras actually have good low light pictures? I'm curious, just for my own knowledge. Most of the smartphones I've had don't take great low light pictures. The only one that I've heard rave reviews about is the Nokia 900 (and the newer one) Windows Phone. Other than that, the HTC One was mentioned to have "good" low light pictures, but nothing spectacular.

Yes i know this, I meant to say a comparison to the HTC/Iphone 5 and a few Nokia phones. The GS4's camera is concluded to be the worst in low lighting situations by far in most reviews i have seen. If the put the same camera in the N3 I most likely wouldn't get it for that reason.

Like I said, I am curious because I've never experienced any smartphone cameras having good low light pics, so I'd genuinely like to know. And I've never used the HTC one or Nokia, nor have I looked at any pics taken from them, in low light.
