I've just ordered a Spigen Slim Armor case, with the Red insert, from amazon.co.uk @ 19.99. It should be with me by the end of the week

My GN3 is arriving tomorrow, so I won't be taking it out of the house until the case arrives

I looked at the Neo Hybrid, but to me the plastic frame looked great, but I thought that a drop onto a corner may damage it, whereas the Slim Armor corners will be the 'rubber' section

I'm slowly amassing my bits and pieces for the phone, just got a 64gb Samsung SDXC Class 10 Micro SD card off Amazon (Black Friday deal) and I'm awaiting some cheap screen protectors as an interim measure

I know it's off topic, but any thoughts/suggestions on a decent screen protector?

Once I'm all up and running with the case I'll post a review

Some Cheap Cheap Case Today

Fake S View Cover with S View Full Functions, similar texture feel with stitch - USD $15

Nice looking Color Transparency TPU Case - USD $3.10

Face Idea Back Case - USD $6.20

Xmart case - I think it is not genuine but the build quality is extremely solid, unbelievable great!

USD $7.80 - 2 layer protection, inside is extreme soft rubber. I like it pretty much, just they is a hole on top, obvious it follow design for Japan/Korean market.
No link as I buy at my local store - Malaysia.

Finally received my genuine OtterBox Defender - Merlot Color.

Impression:
  • I find it is not that bulky as I though, at least not for Note 3 series, it is quite similar size as Commuter series.
  • The provide front plastic is superb low quality cheap, it is yellowish with not constant surface. Lucky it can easier peel off! Suggest peel off that rubbish plastic if your phone already got SP especially Glass SP. It fit nicely together with my Spigen Glas.tR Slim SP, (without the bundle one).
  • Overall build is far better than Commuter series. Solid.
  • I like it color combination design on it, it look fantastic, the home button cover had no impact on press, it is easier to press.
  • The extra heavy front black clip I just keep aside, I confirm 100% won't use it, it is useful if you do construction work.
Like it!

You just push them through the case. It is flexible enough that it is not a big deal.

I've just got a basic film screen protector at the moment but will be taking the plunge on the Spigen glass.tr protector over Xmas for the full Spigen makeover

Sweet... I'm not a fan of the orange shell so I went ahead and bought a black one when they came out. I'll probably order one of these and just put the camo cover over the black shell I already have. I need another holster anyway to mount on my bike so its all good.

Thanks for the heads up.

On a side note, from otterbox it was $79 with 2 day shipping. On Amazon it was $81 with 2 day shipping but I signed up for Prime and it was free 2 day which brought it back down to $69. Amazon isn't charging sales tax, otterbox is.

It's a lot to pay for a case, but at least that brought it down a little...

It should be here next week.

Hey all, just letting everyone know there was a thread regarding a particular Otterbox that is now available for our device, it has been merged with the Note 3 Case thread since it's regarding a case.

If anyone has any problems with this let me know (via PM)

Got the blue seido dilex case holster combo before my no more cases promise. Fits well like everyone reported and the color is drop dead gorgeous. Feels a little slippery but I think that will work itself out over time. The belt holster is pretty slick. I like the ease of removal the clip system at the top provides. As an added plus the holster also works with my iBlason when I want to paint it black.

Eh, it's got bright orange trim, so unless I drop it on a tiger that's been rolling in the hay, i'll be ok.

Darn...I think my chrome plated back cover is messing with the GPS. Nav doesn't seem to work at all, as far as tracking location during a route.

You might try one of those GPS utilities, unless you're using CoPilot which has it built-in, that shows individual satellites and their signal strength, with and without the back cover.

Pink, White abd Black S-view cases are available in the Samsung Experience section of Best Buy at the South Bay mall in Boston MA. I was tempted but I did promise.

It's so strange because it works to actually pin point location, when not moving, but when I go to navigate, it shows the arrow in an off location from where I actually am. I'm going to throw on one of the other pleather covers, to see if it still happens. I'm also going to take the case off, to see if the material of the case is affecting it (although, I doubt it's the case).

Just received my Slim Armor case today, and the above matches my impression. A little thicker and heavier than I expected (my phones have all been nekkid before), but it seems to offer solid protection, especially in the corners.

I'm pleased with how positively the side buttons work and how precise the cutouts are. As others have mentioned, it's definitely slipperier than stock and seems to highlight fingerprints, not that I really care about the latter.

The narrowness of the S-Pen cutout makes it harder to remove it, especially if you have very short fingernails. I may have to carve that out a little; maybe also the headphone cutout depending on fit.

Kickstand on the holster. Good idea. To bad it looks like it only works in one orientation though.

The case itself also comes with a kickstand...

I bought the Spigen Neo Hybrid case in Infinity White and a flip wallet case by Cellto.

As for the neo hybrid, I love it for the most part. It's very slim, yet protective and for some reason I find myself in love with the texture of the back of the case. Can't vouch for the drop protection (luckily) but on Reddit people seem to say the shock absorption is good. And the white side with the black phone and case makes it look pretty slick

The Cellto flip case which I got for $9 on Amazon is pretty stylish in my opinion. The "case" or the part where your phone is held in is made of rubber and the holes line up very well. You can also fold it in a way so it can be like a kickstand as well. The only cons I have with this is that the power button is a little hard to get to and the flap that closes the cover sometimes gets annoying while 2-handed typing (it's kind of bothering me now as I type) but maybe I'm just not used to flip cases yet.

So far, loving this phone and these cases

Despite the pure beauty of the blue Seido Dilex case I purchased I'm going back to the iBlason for everyday use. It's not as pretty but it feels more rugged for protection purposes. I'm sticking with the Seido belt holster though.

Is it this one? Amazon.com: i-Blason Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Note III N9000 Smart Phone Leather Slim Book Case Cover with Stand Feature (Black): Cell Phones & Accessories

How is that by the way? I was maybe thinking of getting it then I could keep my cards in there and not have to carry around a wallet.

It's actually this one.

Don't let the "sale ends today" fool you, it's been $4.99 for over a month.

Also on Amazon in different colors for $16.99.

Nope. I got the one similar to the Seido Dilex. Dual layer protection especially of the side rails is what I needed. The wallet cases I purchased are farther back in this thread.

Amazon is quick to ship as usual... I'm happy to report the same great quality as the black Defender I was using. The camo backing is really smooth feeling, which is kind of a surprise. I thought it would be rough like the black one but it feels completely different.

I'm using the black inner case with it and it's exactly what I was looking for. I'll keep the orange innards and black outer as spares. All I needed was the extra holster and the camo outer anyway.

For me, the Otterbox Commuter is the top of the line case for the GN 3. Unlike the morbidly obese Otterbox Defender, the Otterbox Commuter provides great protection in a MUCH slimmer form factor. Don't get me wrong, BOTH cases offer stellar protection, the Commuter however, does so in a MUCH sleeker form factor.

I've got a Goospery diary wallet case. I had one on my Note 2 and loved it. I like keeping some cash, cards and my phone all in one place.

I also ordered the Bear Motion slim sand case and a Spigen oleophobic screen protector. They are both out for delivery today.

I am just very afraid the device won't fit into my pocket anymore with an Otterbox on it. It is already fairly tight in some of my jeans

Does the metal bumper affect GPS? Also curious if you can actually remove the battery cover without taking off the bumper? I've been considering getting one of those, but have been hesitant since I had issues with the chrome plated battery cover.
