I liked mine too when i first got it but after a week it began to stretch a bit. also didn't like the lack of screen protector. I'm hating the S-view case though so i might go back to the 21 until Amazon gets the Otterbox in.

Default Switched to the Samsung S-view case

I've had several cases for my N3 with the Spigen Neo Hybrid being the last one. While I loved the look of that case I still didn't like the amount of weight and bulk it added to the phone. It also felt a bit slippery sometimes. I finally bit the bullet and got the official Samsung S-view case.

Here's what I think so far. I'm loving that it doesn't really add bulk or weight to my N3. I like being able to answer and talk on the phone without having to open the flap. I also like the wake feature when you open the flap like the smart cover that Apple uses. Another thing is that I feel it is more grippy than my Spigen.

Surprisingly I feel that my phone is more protected than when I used my Spigen case. All in all I'm more impressed with the cover than I thought I'd be.

Glad to hear a good review if the Samsung flip case. I'm waiting for the non-view ones to show up and the prices to drop. I have the neo hybrid and the slim armor but both added too much weight so I just went with the spigen ultra fit and I like that one best. It adds the least bulk with adequate protection for my needs.

Maybe down the line if they make the S window more functional I'll give it another shot. It offers some pocket protection but I don't think it will do much in a fall unless I get lucky and it lands right.

so i searched this thread and didn't see any info on the cruzerlite androidify case.
ive had this case on my htc eve 4g lte and my current galaxy note 2.
I've been happy with it and it has protected me from a few waist high drops so far so I'm considering getting the same for my new coming note 3.
i was considering the spigen ultra fit case but people say it doesn't protect the top or bottom of phone.
any input on either that hasn't yet been listed or i have overlooked?
thanks in advance!

Got my Spigen neo hybrid today, reventon yellow. Like the case, doesnt make the phone feel big(ger) IMO. My only "issue" is like mentioned before that its a tad bit slippery!
Hope to get the UAG soon to compare!

Sadly, I can verify that the Neo Hybrid does indeed protect the phone from a four foot fall onto concrete. I can also sadly verify that the plastic frame is indeed white underneath the color. The damage isn't exactly "in your face" obvious. It's more of a "it's my case on my phone and I know where I dropped it and know where the damage is and therefore it stands out to me". So protection-wise, it will definitely do the job.

Default All My Note 3 Case. :)

Spigen SGP - Neo Hybrid
Galaxy Note 3 Case Neo Hybrid - Galaxy Note 3 - Galaxy Note - Samsung - Brands | SPIGEN SGP

Spigen SGP - Slim Armor
Galaxy Note 3 Case Slim Armor - Galaxy Note 3 - Galaxy Note - Samsung - Brands | SPIGEN SGP

Otter Box - Commuter
Commuter Series case for Galaxy Note 3| OtterBox

Samsung - S View Cover
GALAXY Note 3 S View Cover - OVERVIEW | SAMSUNG

Unbranded Flip Cover - Dark Blue

My short review of all the Case/Cover I use before.
  • Spigen Neo Hybrid - for beauty and slimmest body, but least protection.
  • Spigen Slim Armor - slightly bulky than Neo Hybrid but solid build and better protection.
  • Otter Box Commuter - The best protection without over bulkiness.
  • Samsung S View Cover - Nice flip cover with awesome S View function.

Default Otterbox Commuter

Has anyone tried the Otterbox Commuter for the GN 3? What's your verdict? I purchased the Defender and it is simply too big and bulky. My already hefty device was suddenly GIGANTIC. Used it one full day before i simply removed it and gave it away. I am now using a case purchased on Amazon for $8.49. The name is Caseology and I purchased the Black PU Leather model. The case is slim, sexy looking, and SHOCKINGLY well made. It DOES NOT offer the protection of the Otterbox Defender, but it will do for mow, and possibly forever, if the Commuter series is even remotely as hefty as the Defender. The Defender is simply put, a PIG of a case. Hopefully the Commuter is simply put, a PIGLET.

I can't find the actual physical dimensions of the Spigen Neo Hybrid and the Slim Armor on Spigen's website.

Can someone with both measure them for me and tell me which one is bigger and by how much please? I'm interested in seeing your opinion as to how much bulk is added to the phone with each too please so the actual measurements of each case would be very gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

My Slim Amor at home, can't measure for you now.

Slim Amor is much thicker than Neo Hybrid. Maybe extra 01.mm to 0.2mm on Slim Amor.

Someone has indeed measured and weighed both and posted their results around here somewhere. Unfortunately, who did so is escaping me at the moment. And I can't remember if it was in this thread or the thread about the neo vs slim. If I remember right, they said that contrary to what everyone has been saying, the neo is indeed slimmer than the slim armor.

Default ALUMINUM 2PC BUMPER Case

Got this one in today:

LOVE MEI smoked pull type metal bumper for GALAXY NOTE 3 - Love mei

All cut-outs are precise, volume rocker & power button both work very well, just the perfect amount of tension for ease of use w/o the sponginess for accidental pressing while pocketed/holstered/etc.....

As for feel-in-hand,all cases I've used push this to the edge,as the phone is large enough w/o a case,so,I can't be the judge as to how this would be for someone else.

The finish is flawless (GLOSS BLACK),however,I'm considering using the sand/bead blaster @ work to give it more of a matte finish/rougher texture, for a better, more secure feel-in-hand.

As for compatibility/fit,works w/the standard battery cover,as well as the QI-ENABLED OEM SAMSUNG Battery cover. However,it does not fit on extended battery covers for the HYPERION or ANKER 6400 Extended battery, due to the lack of contour/radius on the top & bottom of the extended battery cover.

As for protection, this is a bumper-only case, providing edge-only protection. There is ample protection on the front face of the bumper for screen protection when the phone is placed face-down on a surface.

I recommend this case, but, definitely look around for better pricing (e-Bay/AMAZON/MOBILE FUN.etc)......

I finally found a kickstand design that fits my needs;

However since I've been using the I-Blason I've really fell in love with this form factor for the actual case itself

Has anyone seen a case designed like the second image that has a vertical kickstand?

I picked up the Otterbox Defender today, removing the screen. It fits much tighter than the Note 2 did.

Is that the one with the sliding top that secures the device inside?

They have different 'Love Mei' versions at the eBay UK link here, including the slider one, plus ones that secure with two small grommet screws in one corner. Way cheaper than $58 too.

I've bought the non slider one and love it. Would be even better with buttons rather than cut outs. Keeps the phones OE profile and saves the frame getting damaged if dropped.

Yes sir,it is.This is definitely a more practical option vs some other 2-piece aluminum bumpers that have the screws holding it together.

It's a nice bumper,as for added size,it's not a low profile bumper, but doesn't add as much, compared to this TPU one:

Amazon.com: Bear Motion for Galaxy Note 3 - Premium Bumper Ring Case for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Note III (Black) (Black): Cell Phones & Accessories

As w/any metal cases, this one has some rather crisp edges vs a more contoured/rounded shape. Not necessarily a bad thing, but,I've found this can be tiresome if you're one to use your phone for a greatly extended period of time throughout the day.Not an issue w/horizontal use, but, could be when gripping in the vertical for an extended period.
Of course,if your hand size is above average, all of this becomes a non-issue.

Either way,it's a nice looking & excellent fitting bumper case. You won't be disappointed should you choose to get one for yourself.

Thanks Kolio. As my post somewhere i this thread says, i am looking at a bumper possibly to go with an OEM charging cover, if/when I decide to get that.

I've got the Spigen Neo Hybrid Satin Silver arriving tomorrow which will do me in the meantime.

I'm currently using an unbranded TPU case that is both cheap and nasty but does protect the phone, which turned up yesterday afternoon.

Default my only camera is the Note 3

First of all the packaging. Thank goodness these cases ship in easy to open plastic packaging. No knife, scissors, or hammer and chisel required.

Out of the packaging:

Found a couple bumper cases that intrigued me on ebay:

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 III Lucent Wrap Film Two Tone Hybrid Case Cover Prytool | eBay

Ultra Thin Full Body Defender Builders Gel Case Cover for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 | eBay

Hard Hybrid Full Bumper Built in Screen Protector Case for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 | eBay

Cheapest one I found
http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-3-III-Hybrid-Full-Body-Case-Cover-Built-In-Screen-Film-/291017368662?pt=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&var=&hash= item43c1fca456

The thing that intrigued me the most on these cases is the built in screen protector, which is part of the actual bumper. I haven't read any reviews, to see how responsive it is, but I might take a stab at getting one later down the line. I'll continue searching for the thinnest form factor, that also provides full coverage on the sides, top, and bottom. I love the case I currently use, but hopefully the cases on the way will also cover the bottom more than my current case.

They iBlason seems to fit your requirements IMHO. You can find cheaper unbranded versions as well on Amazon and Ebay.

Just got my ballistic case and so far I like it. This is the maxx with the belt clip. I was worried the screen protector would be too thick bit so far it's great. And a little cheaper than otterbox.

I gotta admit, it fits GREAT and is quite slim. i like it a lot more than i expected! 5*
I am also using a Spigen Bounce, it's far better looking in person than on the site. I really like how it covers the buttons so as to prevent accidental press's, while leaving them very easy to use.

It doesn't attract pocket lint, and it doesn't stretch like lower quality TPU cases. Holding it's shape perfectly after weeks of use, I'm completely happy with it.

I'm swapping between a cheap tpu case and a Caseology right now. I'll have to mod the charging port slot on the caseology because it doesn't fit my I bolt car charger .I also have a SpigenNeo that I have yet to open

I got my UAG few days ago and am trying it out. Pretty nice case, def makes phone more bulky in comparison to my neo hybrid but will protect it more then the Neo of course. I like both cases , will probably use both alot, both fit tight and snug, buttons, cutouts etc. I tried the screen protector that came with UAG and totally butchered it, lol.
Anyways, I like both the UAG and Nep Hybrid alot. Both will serve their purposes.

IMO the Samsung flip case is a much nicer case. It looks nicer and is smaller compared to the Neo Hybrid. The protection isn't as good as the neo hybrid though.

Question

Has anyone found a "sock" type protector that fits the n3?

I'm looking for something
-that has a foam-like protective interior (giving a little protection)
-no leather
-no clips or starps, so the phone can be easily sled out (is "sled" the correct word??)

Basically, something a bit like this:

I've been trying to browse trough various sites, but so far, no luck.

It is leather, but I guess this is as close as I can get to what I wanted.

Default My co-worker has an S4

Finally got a picture of the phone in the case to share;

This case is surprisingly well made for something that costs $7.99. The stitching is perfect and holes line up all the way around. The credit/business card holders are actual pockets not just slots in the material and the pocket behind them fits 3 folded over US bills without any issues with the closure. This is a pretty good case for those formal occasions when you don't necessarily need high drop protection. It looks really good and not at all feminine as I thought it might just from seeing it online. This is an interior shot of the Mint/Navy version. I'm thinking of getting rid of the Black/Brown version. Any takers? I'll send it anywhere in the US for $10.00 cash.

I recently received these from China
http://www.sunsky-online.com/product/default!view.do?subject.id=341798 at $3.48 each plus low shipping.

Not really protective but very, very cheap and bright. There are other colours.
