Default Air command not working

The Air command function stopped working. I'm sure it's something I did since I've been reading settings for two days straight, but I'll be danged if I can figure it out. Anyone?

It didn't work when removing the pen or when pressing the button on the pen. Action memo works if I select that in settings.

It's under S Pen options in Settings.

Hello there, chaitu_sharma. Welcome to AF! I hope the info jwither gave you was enough to get you going, but in case it wasn't, let me put out a little synopsis of what I have found since my last post on the subject when I had had the phone for 4 days.

In Settings, under Controls, you have the S Pen category. There you will find Pen detachment options.

Default was for it to bring up Air command when you detach the pen. You can change that to either None or Action Memo.

If you have it on None, and now want the Air command gizmo to pop up, you have to have the stylus close to, but not touching, the screen, and press the button on the stylus.

If you do want the Action Memo, hold the button on the stylus and tap the screen twice, fairly rapidly. I seem to remember some where to kind of set the speed of taps but I am not sure where or if I really did, at this point.

If you want a Screen capture, you can hold the button on the stylus and hold the point of it on the screen for a long moment, hold, not tap.

In the event that you do perform a Screen capture, when the Screen presents itself, along the top you have options to share or save or discard or write upon the Capture.

Under Settings, Device, Display, all the way down at the bottom, is a place you can check to Edit after screen capture. It doesn't seem to make any difference in the response whether it is checked or not.
