Galaxy Note 3 PC Connection Problem
First post and apologies if this has been covered before, but I haven't found any solutions in the forum.
I just upgraded to a Galaxy Note 3 from a Blackberry Bold 9900.
First off, I cannot get the the Samsung SmartSwitch app (downloaded from Samsung's own website) to work. I just get a perpetual 'please connect your device' message, so I gave up on that one and resigned myself to the fact that I'm going to have to manually transfer all my data.
Next, I downloaded Kies3 (again from Samsung) to see what that did, but I'm just getting a message on the phone 'Unable to find software on your PC that can recognise your device', and from the Kies3 app 'failed to connect the device'.
My pc is just recognising a SM-N9005 camera instead of the phone.
The connection setting on the phone is set to Media Device (MTP), I'm using the original USB cable, and the required software on my laptop is all up to date.
Any ideas on how to get a connection going, please?
