Default Battery % in Notification Bar

I noticed in some of the "show your desktop" screens for the Note 3 that some of you in addition to the battery icon have a % for the amount of battery left next to it.

Is this a separate app or am I missing something in the settings?

Thanks in advance.

Go to Settings -> General -> Battery. At the bottom you'll find an option to Display Battery Percentage

It is in Settings, General, Battery. You have to scroll the screen up to see the place to check to get % to show.
