That Was, Come On Verizon, Release the Note

I have been waiting for this +$%ing phone, the Verizon version of the Note, since September 2011. My Blackberry batteries are dying after 2 years plus and it is time we hear something about the Note.

I may get the Nexus and hope the Note will come out within 30 days, when I can switch or I'll have to either live with the Blackberry Storm 2 until the Notes comes out or just go back to the Blackberry (after 30 days or Nexus) until the Note comes out.

It is getting aggravating that there is no word so we can know how to plan. I am sitting here in the endodontists office and the battery, which should have at least 3/4 left, died and won't reboot the phone. Something could be loose inside or the batteries are almost shot. I have 3 and one is totally unreliable and now there is 2. The other one is in the charger in my office.

I know exactly what you are feeling. I have a Blackberry Bold and it dies with two bars left on the battery out of five bars total. Not to mention it pocket dials and texts people and goes crazy every other day.

There is no real indication the Note will come to Verizon, so I think your choice will be the Nexus. It is a great device and you don't have to wait for any updates. Actually if the Nexus was offered by AT&T I would be having a hard time choosing between it and the Note. Plus, I hear ICS has support for a stylus so time will tell how that comes about.

There is nothing like the telephone companies to screw you over without the least bit of care. All they have to do is tell us what is going on. I can't believe that nothing has been leaked. I doubt there is really an organized "Cell Phone" press but you'd think that some of them who do report information about Verizon would have some connections that would give little bits of information about the Note, the Journal and if they are waiting for a full blown version of ICS.

I agree with you about the Nexus, but I am trying to hold out for the larger phone. Now there is a 4.7 inch ICS version of an LG phone coming out with a quad processor. I wonder, if we can play games too. Can we buy the Nexus, return it for the LG phone, then return it again for the Note? Of course, if any one of them fits what we need, we can end the agony and keep it. How many times do they let you roll over?

As far as batteries, planned obsolescence makes that two year mark as the gateway to battery pain. 2 years actually is pretty impressive for these little batteries when you think how long or not long Duracell's last so I'm not complaining about that.

Let's hope we hear something soon.

Just clarifying: I don't have Verizon. I have AT&T. I was just sharing your pain of having a Blackberry.

Also, if I remember correctly Verizon only has a 14 day return period. I could be wrong on that, but I know for a fact you can't double return something. So if you get the Galaxy Nexus you can only return it for one other device.
