Default How do I turn on 3G on Samsung Galaxy Note?

Hello Everyone, I have a simple and dumb question to ask. I just bought a Note and I don't know how to turn on 3G internet, so I can use it.
Anyone help please? Thank you.

The phone's internet should automatically be on and it will switch from Edge (an "E" symbol) to 3G (it will show a 4G icon for 3G), to 4G (It will show a 4G icon with orange waves/bars next to it) to 4G/LTE (it will show a 4G with orange waves and a little LTE under the 4G) depending on the data in your area.

You cannot use 3G only, if you are in a 4G or LTE area, you will be forced to use that speed if your data is turned on. Now if you have no data at all, press menu --> settings --> wireless and network --> mobile networks --> make sure the "Use Packet Data" is checked. If it is checked, than data is turned on. If that is checked, and you are in an area that had data and you do not, you need to call AT&T since they did not provision your data plan correctly for an LTE device
