Default Best email app for Samsung Galaxy Note?

I have yet to find an email app I can live with. What do folks like on the note?

I need an app that handles both pop3 and imap together.

Stock app: Poor UI design - previous, next, and delete buttons at the top are no good for one-handed thumb operation on the Note. Same with ICS leak version.

Maildroid: same issue as stock app, plus too many bugs.

K-9: Buttons are at the bottom (good) but rest of UI is too "clunky", doesn't support current UI standards. Can't properly resize graphic emails.

Am I missing an awesome app?

I may have found a good one - AquaMail. Unfortunately, it is not yet available in the US. You can download the free version from the web site, though:

AquaMail: English: In brief - AquaMail

I'll report back when I have played with it for a couple days.

I use K-9 mail client. Fairly plain but works well and can select all emails at once to delete.

The gmail app only does gmail. No good. I must have pop3. Yes, I am aware I can have the cloud gmail receive email from pop3 and then the gmail app would download everything to my phone as gmail. No. I need to keep my pop3 emails associated with their pop3 accounts. They are each from different web sites with different customer bases. I currently have 7 pop3 accounts and 1 gmail account (which isn't supported by gmail anyway since they only allow 5 pop3 accounts to sync with the cloud).

Some reasons I don't like K-9 are covered in my first post, mainly how grandly it sucks at graphic email handling. Try scrolling through a big graphic that is bigger both horizontally and vertically. K-9 not only allows only one-direction scrolling, but you have to be precise in stopping the scrolling from one direction before scrolling in the other. No other email app is that lame.

I have started to play with AquaMail. It has promise for the future, but it clearly is beta currently.

I've nixed AquaMail for having Next and Previous on a popup menu.

Now playing with Kaiten (K-10) an enhanced version of K-9. They fixed the lame graphic scrolling of K-9.

Might also try Enhanced Email.

I'm looking for a better email solution too.

- The stock email client expires messages way too fast for me (I get a lot of mail, this app doesn't even keep a days worth and I constantly have to hit the "load more" button which is painfully slow).

- Instead, I've been forwarding all my mail to Gmail instead and using that client, which is vastly better for loading and retaining a working amount of recent messages but I absolutely hate how it organizes multiple messages on the same subject into threaded "discussions". It's a complete pita looking for whatever message is most recent (sometime I have to click the message chain, go back to the message list then click the message again to get the most recent message at the top). I can't find a way to turn this off either (anyone else notice pretty much all of Google's applications are pretty short on customization?).

Man, after you're used to the way Blackberry handles email, you really notice how poorly the other platforms do it. iPhone was no better.

I use Kaiten as well. It's good, but it still falls short in the search functionality. I wish these IMAP clients would search the messages that are still on the server instead of just the messages that have been dl'd to my phone. Sometimes I need to access info from a message that I received a few months (or longer) ago and which isn't on my phone. Unfortunately, however, Kaiten (and the GMail app, last time I checked) won't go beyond what's on my phone and search the messages on the mail server. Instead, I have to open up GMail in a browser window and search that way.

I tried AquaMail again and they fixed the popup issue. Next and Previous are now in the lower right where they should be. I have to say this is a pretty slick email app. It's still not perfect, but it beats Kaiten and Maildroid.

Issues:
1. Cannot shrink graphic emails (same problem with all email apps except the stock app).
2. It is in dire need of a "purge all deleted files" button. Currently you have to empty the deleted items from each account one at a time, which is tedious if you have 9 accounts like I do.

Note that AquaMail has a WORKING UNDELETE BUTTON!!! It's the only app I know of where this works well. I just need that "purge all deleted" button and it will be perfect. Well worth the $5 charge for the paid app (and you'll need to pay if you have more than two email accounts).

Note that I never tried Enhanced Email due to the lack of a trial app. I am not going to pay $10 only to find I don't like it.

Well darnit, there is a major flaw in Aqua Mail. If you delete a message from the server (either from your desktop or the web), Aqua Mail keeps those deleted messages on your phone! It does not recognize the deletion and remove it with the next sync. This means I end up with a bunch of old deleted emails on my phone. Not acceptable. It's the only email app I know of that can't handle that! Argh!
