It's just one of the shortcuts. Long press home screen, choose shortcuts, then choose direct dial and pick a contact.

Thank you!

Update: Hrm, it only appears to be a 4x1 instead of 5x1, which is what I assume it must be to fit across my entire header? It was either that or the pro version... Is the pro version the one that's capable of fitting a Note or am I missing a setting somewhere?

This is my current homescreen. I change them pretty often because I lose them once trying a new ROM. Currently I'm on ICS Stunner Beta 5.0, Android 4.0.3.

Did you try holding and then resizing to fit the screen? I'm pretty sure that's all I did for it to take up the screen.

Most common apps at the bottom and note taker so I can quickly remember things since setting reminders is a hassle on the note.

I'll post links when I get home. I got two versions; the second version has the darkened blocks as you seen; the other is just the solid color.

Default Advanced Clock Widget

For you folks using Advanced Clock Widget. I finally got it to be transparent, finally got the hour and minute to overlap, but how do you make it larger to fill up the screen more? I tried resizing and that didn't work. It just made the space bigger and separated the hour and minutes. I like the big, overlapped look, but can't seem to get it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Elly44

there's 7 spots on the dock on mine cause I use ADW Launcher EX and you can change that in the launcher settings as well as having your whole grid be 6X6 if you want.

I sure wish I had the ICS icons; oh wait I should say the "Galaxy Nexus" icons since I'm using the "official" ICS leaked ROM on my note and it comes with the Gingerbread icons.

I had an ICS leak for about 2 hours--annoyed me so I went back to GB.

GoLauncher EX released a new classic theme; love it.

Here is my newest.

If you have a home screen launcher replacement then you can download an ICS theme and use the ICS icons if you like.

Yeah, that's the problem. The icons on the Nexus are not really ICS, or something. I had the ICS leak for Note and the icons were all Gingerbread icons.

Here's my screens. Had my Note for a week and after moving from a 4s I couldn't be happier with it. Getting impatient for ICS though so that I can add the Miui home launcher without having to root.

That's lame, but you can still use an ICS theme on your launcher like I did above.

I know, kind of generic, but it has everything I want on there. That vertical clock widget looks nice but it looks like it might not fit on my home screen, I'll have to check it out. For some strange reason the screen cap took a row of widgets out of the pic, I have a row of circular knobs that control things like screen brightness, volumes for various things and so forth and a quick lock button widget, that row is gone in this pic, that's odd. Why did it do that? It also shows my battery widget with the wrong number, my phone is docked and it's at 100, not 92, how the heck did it decide to show all this stuff wrong? How utterly weird! In fact, the calendar is even wrong, it's like this screen shot is from Saturday rather than today (Monday) but I never took a screen shot before, this is the first and only capture of the screen I have ever taken. Look at the calendar, it shows Sun/Mon...etc instead of Tue/Wed... What the heck?

Okay, I just captured it again, for some reason it's dim but at least it's correct.

It is extremely easy to accidentally take a screenshot. Home and power buttons at the same time does it. Every now and then I delete 30 or 40 screenshots of my lock screen from when I take my phone out of my shirt pocket
